Anyone else’s auto start-stop rarely ever work despite not turning it off? Not upset about it, just wondering if I’m the only one. Mostly drive in eco too.

Could be that your battery is starting to go bad. ASS stopped working on my Raptor several months before my battery went bad. New battery installed and ASS was working again.

I went through this as I don't drive my Bronco much. When it sits for a few days or even a couple days it takes time (sometimes 80 or so miles) for the battery to charge while you drive it. I now put mine on a trickle charger after it sits for a week or so and the start/stop works immediately when the battery is fully charged.

Also when it's really hot out- like 90 or so degrees it won't work regardless. I don't know if it is related to outside ambient temperature or engine temperature. when it is less than 89 or 90 and the battery is fully charged it always works. There is a display for it to show if it is working normally on the settings somewhere.

There’s a whole list of things that can cause it to not work. Most are somewhat obvious - AC cranked up, to hot or cold outside, vehicle in Park, on a steep incline, low battery, Driver turned it off, etc

The bad part is there isn’t a good way to tell. And for people who just happen to notice it not working in places where it usually does - yeah it’s usually the battery. There is a good chance it’s just low and not bad - and charging it overnight to top it up will fix it right up without needing a replacement. When AGMs start going bad, they won’t hold the charge, so if you need to “top it up” frequently then it’s on its way out.

you live in a very hot area. ASS won't activate if the AC is going

I don't see what the issue is here

Put your battery on a tender and keep the AC off, it will start working more...
