I was going to change out most of my speakers but looking at the B&O fronts, they aren’t the same cheap paper they installed on kick panel or rears. I was gong to change them out with Kicker CS. Is it even worth it? Does anyone know the type of speakers are on dash of the B&O?

Yep, pretty cheap. The top threw me off. I think my next question is whether bass blockers are truly necessary.

Yes change them all
consensus is the kick panel speakers are the least beneficial to replace
ive done all the front and rear pods, much better
next weekend i’m also going to try the kick panels to see if any improvement

Is there benefit to changing the sub or Center on the B&O? Those seem the hardest. Waiting on a few parts to finish installing the kick panels.

Frankly, I never intended to rip any of the B&O speakers, but I just can’t deal any longer.

I think there will be a significant difference with changing the Kick panel speaker. Look at the difference in quality. The 6.5 and rear 4” are paper cones.

center for sure was an improvement
plus some poly fill and/or dynamat
to me was a huge difference

note that you will get good results with speakers that have high sensitivity if not adding an amp with the b&o

i havent replaced the sub, but might next time i feel like pulling the panel out
from what ive read most who swap the sub also put in an amp

ATM i‘ve got good results with swapping all the 4”

I did try kicker’s in the kick panels last weeknd but it didnt sound as good as stock
i ordered some hertz 6” that ill try next weekend to see if they are any better

What kick panel speakers did you try first? I have all Kicker CS going in.

Seems like it would be tough to add the mating in the fronts, there’s a deep cavity that is open. I was going to use the Boom Mat. I added the sheets in the cavity of the 6.5, cut the foam off the bottom because I read it blocks/muffles all the bass.

Did you install Bass blockers on any of the 4” speakers?

For me personally, it was absolutely worth swapping out the sub. While I was back there I added Kilmat and eliminated 90% of the rattles. I’d say the Kilmat made the biggest difference, but over all I’d definitely replace the sub and add an amp
