Base steering wheel replacement?

Just so all you know, Boostedgraygoosedesigns on IG makes custom harnesses for Fords. He makes a harness for the super duties so you can install a raptor wheel in them and use the shifter paddles. He could probably help in this department for a heated steering wheel in a non heated steering wheel Bronco. He makes all kinds of different harnesses!

I was thinking of ordering one of these (Ford - Aza Auto Wheel) when available but after 2 months with the base bronco I don't mind the steering wheel at all. If fact, I like it.

I ordered a base, but I haven't got it yet. Quick question, the base doesn't have any accent colors like the rest of the trims, correct? I tried looking on build/price, but currently the base is missing. Thanks!

For heated wheel to swap in and function, it requires a different clock spring and the different AC controller (or maybe just the new switch). But any wheel should physically swap.

Heated : M2DZ-3600-DA

W/O Heat : M2DZ-3600-CA

W/O Heat or Lane Assist : M2DZ-3600-BA

Could you elaborate on the different A/C controller and if this is a difficult swap for someone who hasn’t done it before?

Curious why you chose -BA (all of the components of #1 in the photo) vs -BB (just part #2 in the photo)?

It was a little less than $100 more and I'd prefer to just press 2 detent springs, 2 electrical connections, the 2 air bag connections and a bolt.

That $100 will save me time and aggravation and I'll be driving with my leather wrapped steering wheel to pick up beer faster.

Totally get what you guys are getting at. Obviously ordering the BaseSquatch I enjoy a good deal but somethings I'll cave to and this just seemed like one that made sense.

Has anybody confirmed they’ve swapped in the heated steering wheel yet successfully? I’m not skilled enough to do the maiden voyage, but not scared to go for it with all parts and a clear gameplan.

I might be one of the few that doesn’t mind the base wheel. My last 4 cars were leather (probably pleather) and the base feels fine

I’m twisting my mustache in anticipation of the Raptor steering wheel and gauge cluster. In the short term a decent leather guy can wrap the wheel.
