BD with MGV and carpet behind rear seats??

For F*** sake please tell me Ford is not going to ruin the washout flooring with carpet behind rear seats and in cargo area!!! I will not be happy. It will totally suck if they stay with the carpet. Uhhhhg

Could change. Even if it doesn't I don't see the big deal about ruining the washout. It's carpet on a vertical surface. Doesn't absorb much water. It will dry quick. You're not putting out a 5-alarm fire when you hose it down.

My carpet floor mats are wet all winter. It's not a serious issue.

For me it’s about being able to clean out the dog hair. The vehicle will actually belong to my dog (just ask her). Ha

The plan is to drop rear seats and allow the dog to enjoy the cargo area keeping her off the seats knowing I could wipe out the hair from the cargo area. Hopefully Ford will make the change and not put in the carpet. ?

I do hope they fix this for production.
That carpet will not be a vertical surface 90% of the time in my bronco as the back seats will be down and I’ll have my “stuff” dogs etc back there.

I take mine out out at the car wash and pressure wash them....

One thing to keep in mind is that carpet is very beneficial with sound dampening. A hard plastic surface back there will reverberate the sound and contribute to a louder ride.
