I have a cheapy $50 mesh top from amazon that uses Velcro straps. It needs readustment every so often. Waiting for it to break down so I can order a "nicer" one, maybe a jtops one with a custom graphic, but the darn thing keeps on ticking!

I would like some feedback on taking the J-Top on and off. After the initial install process is complete is taking the J-Top Bimini off and putting it back on pretty easy? Much appreciated!

I have a Bestop that I got with points from Ford Accessories. It seemed to loosen up and I could never keep it tight. I custom Ordered a JTops and have been very pleased with the performance so far.

I love the JTOP. The reason I went with it is the ability to leave it on under the hard top. Now I remove the hard top and attach the two front hooks and I am good to go. Quality is great.

Question - which is best for 1) not flapping around at higher (highway) speeds, and 2) staying on semi-permanently? In order to enjoy the bimini and remove the roof panels, you need to be able to get to the latches - is there a bimini that has holes/zippers that do this best, so you really CAN leave it on and still take the hard top off and on?

Not sure if I'm wording that well but basically, from what I can tell of most of the pics in this thread, even if y'all do keep the bimini on while your hard top is on, you have to remove part of it to get at the latches if you want to remove the roof panels and go topless.

BTW it also seems to me that the ideal bimini would have both straps/bungees AND velcro - the straps to anchor the whole thing, with velcro holding down the flaps to the roll-cage to cover any air-gaps. The straps could take the stress of any movement, stretching, and keep taught - so it wouldn't all be put on the velcro, which from what I'm reading can be unreliable (particularly in hot temps).

I believe that the JTop offering has a dual style or soft style for their shades.

I just received my velcro today, and I bought a JTops from a member on B6G for a very very good price. The user has stated they had only used the top 3 times in its life. It's the distressed flag version which should match up very well with my Oxford White and Gunmetal colours.

hoping it turns out well, from what I have watched and read, it seems getting the Velcro correct is the biggest issue.

This is Mike from JTops.
Our top stays on and has zippers and ports for the latches. There is no reason to remove anything to get to the latches.
There are no gaps around the edges or the front that will let in wind or sun.

I don’t ever take my Jtop Bimini off. You just have to fold the very front back to put the top on and the mesh shade sits riget below. It’s awesome!

I have the Rough Country, and very pleased with it.

I have the Soft Top, but it has cutouts to be compatible with the Hard Top too, so you leave it on all the time.

Installation is 15 minutes.

Like others - I did have to wrap the back middle plastic buckles with foam to eliminate clicking noise on freeway, but that took me like 2 minutes to do - That's annoying, and you have to do it. But not a deal breaker, just get some soft of black soft material and a couple small zip ties and you're done in minutes.

The Rough Country Logo Itself is tiny and you can't even see it after the top is installed.

Coverage is good. Fit is perfect. Mesh density is perfect.

It's a must for driving around with the top down to keep the vinyl seats from roasting.

Highly Recommended.

I have a mabett mesh shade for my 4 door. Pros are that the mesh itself is a good quality and even helps me in the Texas sun. Cons are mainly the wind flapping at any sort of speed. They don’t include anything to attach the shade to the roll bars over the sides of the back seat area. It’s a very poor design. The 10 cent plastic click clips aren’t designed to fits well around the back pod speakers and don’t help either. And the main con of it is the front flap which was the main selling point for me has very weak magnets that will never keep the flap down at any speed and makes the front flap pointless and very loud. You get what you pay for. I got a loud flappy shade that keeps the sun off.

The attention to detail, as well as the amount of effort and design put into these J-Tops is impressive. You really can see that they are optimized for the Bronco. You are not going to get this precision or coverage in the any of the amazon brands.

I'd like to see a Area 51 w/ a Tan Topper.
