For those who have installed this on a 4 dt with mic top: can this mesh top stay on under the mic top so you don't have to take it on and off??

Yes. I ordered mine and the dealer put it on under the mic top. I took it off though but it does work.

Yes. You can also install it with the top on.

That’s about as taught as I can get it. Wish it was better for sure!

Yeah, the problem is that you have to fold the front flap back in order to engage the two front latches for the hardtop and without that front flap of the bikini top attached at its three attachment locations, the bikini top can’t be very tight. It’s not like it hits your head (I’m 6‘2“) but it doesn’t look amazing.

Curious about reviews as well. My uncle is highly considering the bimini top as one of the next mods after mounting the brake pads and tires from 4Wheelonline this week.

Here is a JTop. We know you can’t use Ford points but we do offer a $25 discount to forum members.
Bestop makes absolutely great products but they might have missed the mark slightly on this one.

Only recommendation is that if you are using a DIY or purchased lift to lift the top off, you will find that you won't want to have the bimi under the top as it gets in the way.

Otherwise, they work fine. The factory one has several straps that can be flappy at highway speeds unless you carefully tuck them under things. Also, the leading edge of the factory bimini uses magnets to keep it flat, and they are not strong enough to do so at speed so that the leading edge can pop up. This just adds some noise.
