It's really not that bad. Most of the time. The weather looked decent. I'd like to know what happened to cause them to go over.

The place they went off is probably about 3 1/2 or 4 minutes into the vid we took of the trail last month. You can see it is very narrow but no reason to go over the edge. Maybe mechanical? Not paying attention?

There are comments on YouTube;
Driver stopped the Jeep to get out to help another make a sharp turn, put the brake on and left it in gear. Gear shift popped, or just gravity, and the brake didn’t hold, he tried to get back in and got tossed, female passenger got ejected early, she is recovering in the hospital, two dogs also in the vehicle were recovered and they are ok.
If the guy filming hadn’t backed up to make that turn, he would have been in the path. Very crazy incident.

That may have been a little further down the switchbacks than I thought at first view. Looks like the guy filming wasn't on the first switchback. Maybe the third? That Jeep may have tumbled further than I first thought.

I'd do it, my wife would probably opt to walk in a few places, "want me to get out"....: )

trail turn would definitely assist, but as stated earlier, it also might have got that driver right in the right place at the wrong time....yikes
