For me with a manual, I'd rather shift into 4 when I want and use 4A if I feel the need.Question, the Advanced 4x4 with Automatic on Demand Engagement for $795. What are thoughts on this? Initially I was like, nope I've never needed this in the past with shift on the fly in my F150, but thought I'd ask everyone.
My thinking exactly, but everyone has their needs and wants. If Black Diamond prices don't change when they fix some bugs, it is definitely the best bang for your buck by far.
That is not correct or they would not offer it on the BL with a Manual. Most likely due to automatic braking feature. I believe you can’t have that with a manual in other manufacturers as well.
I felt the same way. However, it would be nice on rainy days or icy days when you slip a bit during full stop accelerations but I don't want to keep in in 4H because you are on the road. In that case I can see using the 4A.For me with a manual, I'd rather shift into 4 when I want and use 4A if I feel the need.
Initially I agree, but after building a saquatched base, I'm thinking more this is a really, really good option for $38k (before subtracting out the AT upgrade the building is forcing). I realize you don't get all the creature comforts, but...If Black Diamond prices don't change when they fix some bugs, it is definitely the best bang for your buck by far.
Ya thats the problem, you really lose a lot of interior stuff. It is very similar to the STX package on the Ford F-150 XL.Initially I agree, but after building a saquatched base, I'm thinking more this is a really, really good option for $38k (before subtracting out the AT upgrade the building is forcing). I just built BD with Mid Package and a Manual. That is not correct or they would not offer it on the BL with a Manual.
I'm pissed because I love the BD just wanted it with a mid package. Now I"m forced to spend another 6-8K on the BL and I hate that orange accent and grill.
I just built BD with Mid Package and a Manual.
Just added the roof rack and ATC first.
Then add the Mid.

Is that showing that I got the 10A for free??
I think it said the advanced 4x4 includes front and rear e locker doesn’t it?Question, the Advanced 4x4 with Automatic on Demand Engagement for $795. What are thoughts on this? Maybe... "...provides electronically locked power to both axles in challenging conditions..."I think it said the advanced 4x4 includes front and rear e locker doesn’t it?
Yea if it is an electronic locker I’m in on that package. If it’s LSD I’ll need to think about it.Maybe... "...provides electronically locked power to both axles in challenging conditions..."
It seems like it, but I'm not sure. If so, that's a pretty sweet deal to get a front locker on BD.
