When looking at the specs for Black Diamond there is conflicting information on ford.com. It says on one page that the Soft Top is Standard on the 2-Door and on another page Hard Top (2-Door) Molded-in-Color Carbonized Grey is listed under Appearance/Standard. Which is it?
As of now, there is no soft top offered for the 2 door.

I know this isn't apples to apples but I have an 8-inch touch screen in my ’15 Focus and it's perfectly adequate. The stock stereo kicks ass as well. And it's 5 year old tech. We're going to be fine without spending on B&O, etc.
Agree with the above.

My 2018 S550 has the 8” SYNC screen as well and it’s plenty big for all uses when playing music, using apps or viewing maps.

A few months back, I had a 2020 Explorer ST Loaner and it had the large vertical 10 or 12 inch screen and IMO, it was just too big and looked out of place (on THAT dash layout).

Gonna throw this here. Do you guys reckon this is a Black Diamond, just with the wrong headlights? Or perhaps these high series headlights are going to be an option? Everything else matches what a Black Diamond would have - the grille, bumpers, and of course wheels. Also, if I zoom in the badge on the side looks like the Black Diamond logo. Anyhow, looks pretty sweet in Antimatter Blue:

Pricing should start showing up mid to end of next month on packages. Orders starting in September.
Are you with a dealership (Great Lakes) in that area? I'm from Pentwater/Ludington area, I have a friend at Barber Ford in Holland who I linked my reservation to, but they wont commit to MSRP yet. I have previously bought through Manistee Ford for good deals.

I was thinking the same thing, but it seems like in the pics and footage the pre-production vehicles seem to have been mixed and matched. I want the signature headlights/DRLs that this pic shows and I hope that they are offered in either a package or separate.

GLF is who I chose for my dealer. The Assistant Sales Manager is an old friend, so I’m going through him. Messaged him about ADM, fees and x plan last night, waiting to hear back on it.

The pricing info came from another thread here, from a dealer.

If Barbers doesn’t work out, let me know and I will keep you in the loop on what Great Lakes commits to.

Reserved for a black diamond with the invention of Manual and Sasquatch Package. Now I'm hearing no manuals with sasquatch, this might turn into a badlands reservation soon depending on pricing.

I've got that 8 inch screen on my '17 F-250 and it's plenty fine. Anything larger looks to me like they just stuck an Ipad in the dash. The giant one in the new Dodge trucks looks like awful. But it's becoming near standard industry wide. Suspect it's a trend we'll not see change anytime soon.

I nabbed the following guesses from user Squatch in another thread.
I came up with an optimistic number comparing the Badlands to the Wildtrak...
Ford's info regarding the lack of availability for the Sasquatch package for anything but the automatic transmission helped move me (unwillingly) in another direction. From the beginning I wanted to 6-Cylinder 2.7L EcoBoost, but was going to sacrifice that dream for a manual transmission. To have the factory installed tires/wheels/shocks/lift and gears from the Sasquatch package made it feel better. Without that option I'm back to the 2.7 and my wife is happy that I'm building the new Bronco with an automatic transmission. Using Squatch's numbers as a guess, I put a little spreadsheet together on my iPhone last night (probably the last time I try that). I'm expecting more surprises from Ford. Specifically regarding the top. I venture to guess when it comes time to order they'll have a soft top as standard and it will be an up-charge to get the hard top. It's anybody's guess as to what that will run. If I gotta pay for it I hope they'll paint it white for me ?

So, here's my (revised) dream:

As this is a second car for me and not necessarily my DD I want to keep it lower end and as cheap as possible. MT was a must and that's going to save me at least 3K on the squatch option.

When you look at the .pdf file on model comparisons you see some available options. If I can keep my build under 40 K and add

- advanced 4WD Automatic on Demand Engagement
- 17" High Gloss Aluminum Wheels
-Mid Package
- Tow Package
- hopefully a factory tune on the 2.3 engine is offered.

Afraid I won't be able to get all that and keep it under 40K but by ditching squatch I've got a good bit of money to play with. If I didn't have to have MT I'd be doing your build.

One thing your spreadsheet didn't account for is the 1500 delivery fee. Not sure if that's avoidable.

That would be great, I will do the same. Did you see that the Silver Lake Bronco Takeover was cancelled (yesterday) such a bummer; I was hoping to go for the first time, my truck wasn't ready for it the last 5 years. I hope they do a dream-cruise like Bronco parade along the Lakeshore.

Anyone else having second thoughts about the BD? It’s a great package, but the more I look at the Badlands, the more I want that better front axle and lower gears. Front locker I can go either way on.

I guess for a $6k savings I can always regear.
