22’ OBX 2.7L. Now pushing 7k miles and on a long trip. Over 6 months ago I added the aFE Hot and Cold Charge pipes, the Whipple IC. The boost psi dropped to zero and failure on the shutter control. Is this a waste gate issue?

I checked to ensure all the charge pipes are still well seated, nothing seems outwardly off.

I am going to stop at my next destination and find a Ford Dealership, what’s the odds that they blame mods?

Sounds like stuck waste gate. Concerning the shutter control...did you have to remove the shutters to install the whipple?

So you have an error message/dash light telling you there's some fault with the shutter or how do you know it's failing?

Hi there, Keith. This boost concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Bronco. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

Could we see some pics of the message(s) when you have a moment?

I just did mishi high mount ic. Been doing fine so far but my gut says your issues aren't plumbing-related and I'm concerned I might end up in same boat...

Seems odd that everything was working normal. I'm not sure how all the electrics/safeties work...shot in the dark it seems possible that the shutter error message could be causing the boost error message...shutter error forcing the wastegate not to operate?

Ok, after 1,700 miles. Still have the engine fault This is my first of many destinations and I don’t plan on stopping my overall trip unless forced to. Anyway, found a local dealership, they said the are booked out for a month, but convinced them to connect and give me the fault code history.

I am guessing some of these are due to past work, like driving without front or rear bumper.
IPC: U0140 Code: Lost Communication With Body Control Module
IPC: U0183 Lost Communication With Lighting Control Module
IPC: U0212 Lost Communication With Steering Column Control Module
IPC: U0415 Code: Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control
PCM: P0299 Turbocharger/Supercharger A Underboost Condition
PCM: P05A1 Active Grille Air Shutter "A" Position Sensor Minimum / Maximum Stop Performance

the loss of boost is what is happening now. After stopping for the night yesterday, I did see boost for about 20 miles then it went 0 again.

also note, I did run through a massive concentration of bugs north of Los Angeles then the fault occurred. Today, my son has a power washer, so an hour of removing bug guts, I can now see carbonized gray again.

I’ll kept going on my trip even with reduced boost. My next stop will be Missoula, Montana. So if I can figure what to do to fix this I will do it there.
