Maybe 20 years ago. 18-20psi is normal for EcoBoosts. They can easily push over 20psi with just a simple tune, no "mods/upgrades" or "race fuel" required.
I'll have to take your word for it cause I don't have mine to play with yet. But if the OP's will push 18 psi I'm sure his turbo is working!

Good Afternoon. My base February build 2.3 stick has same issue. Took off electric wastegate controller and wastegate valve is frozen. Got it freed up but didn't last long. Dealer had already cleared "a code" before i took delivery. Hope the backlog for turbo's is short...UGH only 50 miles on it.

Same for me at 60 miles. 2.3L and got power train failure loss of power message. Brutal.

So many bad wastegates. Does the 2.7 use the same part? :confused:

Seems like from 2.3L stories, the failures are happening very early (i.e. low mileage). Thinking that making it past a couple of hundred miles and you're in the clear.
