Big cancellations will not surprise me, and will benefit everyone . Ford should be able to sell every Bronco they produce in record time with or without pre-orders, they don't need all these complainers that slapped down a refundable $100. I'm on the " lets see what this thing looks like in person" train, then make my purchase, so the more cancellations the sooner dealers will have them. Those that are die hard will get their Broncos,those that got caught up in the hype will back out, and unfortunately the Pandemic has changed many a plan.

I got some more specifics from the large dealer I spoke to...out of 145 contacted so far; they have converted 109. They have had less than 10 outright cancellations. The remaining are still pending and haven’t confirmed their order yet...so a big dealer sitting right at 75%, but more to go so that rate will go up a bit more at 145.

Wife and I are retired. She sits in the house watching tv all day. We normally never answer the phone, but I put her on high alert to pick up the phone when the call comes in from Granger Iowa.

Worth noting the 25% cancel rate is at an insanely attractive price offer. It might be double that at MSRP

I'ma gonna guess Granger attracted a ton of early reservations...many of whom were outside their allocation, but probably inside the typical MSRP dealer?

Hard to say, I don't know what their allocation and reservation totals are, we also had a deal (albeit less aggressive).

I think many didn't want to believe they'd really be waiting well into 2022. Now that reality has hit, they changed their mind. Also, the logistics of some traveling 1000 miles or more doesn't add up to a lot of savings. Even more so now that gas prices are on the rise.

That's a good point....a good portion of the 25% may have moved to to other dealers with more favorable looking allocations. I was at Stephen's and had to move, as I couldn't even see the front of the line there were so many day 1s in front of me and even with a week 1, I had no chance at a MY21...Stephen's still called me to convert it, even though I had moved the reservation and ordered already.

If they transfer they do not count as cancellations, they just disappear from the list

I'd have pegged it for the "medicare advisor calling on a recorded line"....or my "VERY LAST chance to extend my vehicle warranty"...or "there's no problem with your credit card, but we want to talk to you".

That is the cancellation rate from the current list I am sure, Ford is tracking another cancellation rate that Zach has calculated into the equation...if they are not counting the reservations prior to ordering opening then the numbers can be off a bit, much of our cancellations happened prior to ordering opening and most from the October special...

I’m one of the 53%ers, and not at all surprised by the cancellation rates. I bet that number gets much higher when it’s time to drop the final build deposit.
