Mine's been pretty good over the 39 months and 16K miles I have owned it. Only a couple of recalls that were addressed, no other issues at all so far. 2 door Sas 2.7 pretty much stock except for CAT back exhaust. Only routine maintenance done- oil changes and tire rotations.

Hi everybody,

I know it is not the best place to ask that kind of question, but what do you think about your bronco reliability?

Is received mine in two weeks.

I was supposed to buy a 4Runner 2025 but because it is almost the same as the Tacoma 2024 that I already have, I change my mind for the Bronco big bend with black package 2025 because of the look!

Hope I not going to regret, never drove a Bronco, it is to replace a Cherokee Trailhawk.
'22 Wildtrak, 85k miles, heavily accessorized (but stock sas suspension and wheels), no issues. No rock-crawling, but heavy forest road usage, including many frequent "off road" miles on old defunct logging roads. Deep snow, moderately deep mud, etc. I pay attention to interior wear protection, but exterior care is "rain only".

I had a 2022 Badlands with numerous problems, some Ford didn't want to fix, so I moved on to a 2024 4Runner TRD Premium. Hopefully, you're have better luck than me. Honestly, I think Jim Farley is tanking the company. Quality is poor across the line, you don't have to look any further than all the recalls, it's like every week, there's a new massive recall.

New manual transmission at 20K miles.
The MIC top is rattly hot garbage.
Recalls for rear shocks and backup cam.
I’d definitely buy it again though.
2022 Badlands, Manual, High Pkg, MIC top, 28K miles

Love my stick shift. zero problems
MIC top center section was replaced under warranty for warpage (and wind noise)
Recalls up the wazoo (IMO), windshield re-install, seat belt, backup cam. Waiting on rear shock.
I reboot the infotainment system every week
I have to re-index the windows lifts probably once a month
Rear AC and Heat is pretty bad

But nothing that has stranded me anywhere.

Love it to death though. Great vehicle especially for fishing/hunting off the beaten track.

Also great for car camping. Got the inflatable mattresses for the cargo area and I sleep like a baby.

Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Close to 2.5 years with mine, bought it new. Absolutely zero actual issues.

There was an inconvenience with the soft top at one point that was driving me nuts, but I eventually figured out a fix. It did not require a repair, just disassembly and adjustments.

While I never seem to see any high-mileage Broncos, the 2.3l and 2.7l Ecoboosts have been proven reliable. I see lots of listings for F150s (2.7l) and Mustangs (2.3l) with 200k+ miles. That's usually a good sign...

One thing about this type of vehicle is that there are more body seal surfaces than on most other vehicles. Get a can of seal conditioner and hit the door/window/top/tailgate seals 1-2 times a year and they'll last a long time. I had water intrusion from seal degradation on another vehicle and that's a lesson I refuse to have to learn a second time.

Even though I am not a huge fan of the direction Ford is taking their designs and business decisions, I do advocate for the reliability of their flagship drivetrains. I have only ever had dumb peripheral issues with Fords, never anything catastrophic in over 22 years of owning them, even pushing several WAY beyond their limits.

Late 2022 2Dr Base with 11,000 miles on it. V6/auto. Put on OBX tires and wheels. 22-24 MPG (calculated) on the highway. Fastest 4WD I've ever owned, and a lot of fun.

No problems at all. No MIC hardtop problems, no nothing problems. I've got the recall notice for the backup camera, but it works fine for me now. I got a 7-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, but haven't used it for anything.

One thing... make sure you get zero deductible for windshield replacement. I think most would agree that it is worth it. Just had mine done and it would have been $1100 if I had to do it.
I couldn't agree more about the deductible on the windshield. I've only had my 2025 Big Bend for three weeks, but already had to replace the windshield.

To be honest It's the least reliable car I ever had, but the dealer service is great and when it's not broken I love it. There are only 2 more options for a 4x4 manual, Wrangler, and Tacoma. The 1st one I NO for many reasons, and the Tacoma is just too boring to make the switch. My buddy got a Wildtrack couple month older and had Zero issues... so go figure.

My first gen 6 Bronco was a 2022 Outer Banks (Area 51 ) 2.3L. I put 60K miles on it, no issues the entire time I had it. Traded it in for a 2025 because I like the look of the Heritage Edition (Ruby Red Metallic).

Just under 30k miles: Transfer case and its sensors, wiring harness, hard top, manual transmission repair for noise, engine seals for oil leaks, currently waiting for camera recall.
I'm pretty sure all the repairs are more expensive than what I actually paid for the car new. The good news is that nothing broke twice lol. Yes I know I could lemon it long time ago, but it can’t be replaced with a new one - Base 2 doors Manual with cloth seats Area 51.

I will also add regarding the 2.7 V6. It is dual injection (port and direct) which allows for the valves to be washed over with fuel to prevent carbon build up that direct injection only engines can suffer from. Not a deal killer if you have the 2.3, but something to probably budget for as you approach 80k-ish to have the valves cleaned off. Not a Ford issue, it's prevalent across all makers with direct injection engines (which is about all of them now).

The 2.7 is made of compacted graphite with cracked mains. Basically built like a diesel heavy duty commercial engine but for consumer usage on gasoline instead. You may be replacing a few bolt-ons along the way (alternator, idle tensioner, etc), but I strongly doubt you'll be dealing with anything internal to the engine so long as you properly maintain the fluids. I think the compacted graphite and especially the cracked mains, are quite notable features for longevity. I'm also told something about the rod angles too being of commercial grade as well, but I honestly don't understand enough about it to comment on it. But you can google the other two aspects of the 2.7 for more info.

Holy moly! I am sorry you went through all that. That has to be a rare case. But I understand, I deal with a lot of the <0.01% issues in other areas of life.

Just got back from a 1200 mile trip through the Appalachians (right after attending the Bronco Off-Rodeo in TN). In spite of its flaws, I love this vehicle. I'm not sure that it will be as reliable as the Toyota, but for sure it has more power. Plus, you can get it in a 2-door manual. I'm a big guy, and it's FAR more comfortable than a Wrangler overall. I doubt that the Toyota will have the legroom you can get in a 2-door Bronco. Bonus: unsolicited comments. "Wow, that is really a pretty one" and "you sold me: I'm getting one" at rest stops and parking lots. Oh - and I averaged just under 23 MPG on the trip. It was a blast ripping through Dragons Tail last week in Sport mode with the ProCal4 tune - something you would not expect a vehicle like this to do well.
