As Ducati is trying to tell you, not necessarily. Based on you description, the dealer you are using has a basic competency issue (a lack there of), and/or are just cycling through whole transmission replacements because $, instead of doing the less profitable work of the TSB that would actually address your complaint.I would think a brand new transmission from Ford would be better then a dealer repair?
Depends on the dealer really, or more so the transmission technician at the dealer.I would think a brand new transmission from Ford would be better then a dealer repair?
Thank you for clarifying, would Ford corp not have the say in this?As Ducati is trying to tell you, not necessarily. Also, a "brand new" transmission install requires a whole lot of competent work/knowledge on the part of the tech's doing the work, which again (based on your description) the dealer you are using does not appear to have. Indeed, I give it a 50/50 chance your vehicle will be worse off then before the work...
Diagnosis and repair is up to the dealer. Ford doesn’t typically step into that unless something requires prior approval.Thank you for clarifying, would Ford corp not have the say in this?
Well, what's that background? Do you have many many miles on it, or do you tend to use the clutch to hill hold, or did you teach your child to drive a manual and they burned up 3/4 of it in the process, or did you put a tune on it that makes in excess of 400 ft lbs of torque?I also opted to pay to have the clutch replaced out of pocket incase we decide to keep the bronco since much of it was opened up. Still questioning if that was the right move in my head.
I read your thread, you mentioned ita 22 sas but I didn’t see mileage…I also opted to pay to have the clutch replaced out of pocket incase we decide to keep the bronco since much of it was opened up. Still questioning if that was the right move in my head.
36K on the bronco as of today and from driving it does not need a clutch. I thought since it's open it would be the right move. My son can drive just fine! Nothing but a stock Bronco with a stereo upgrade.Well, what's that background? If 'no' to the above or similar, I would question the decision as well.
I just brought my 2024 7MT to the dealership for this, 3rd got bad, only 23K miles...The first transmission made that marble rolling around noise. This one works perfectly except for 3rd gear. It grinds every time going in and does that dance you see in the video. It started as an occasional grind into 3rd and then started to push the shifter back at you. Not it’s a grind each time and the dance.
Dropped mine today, looks like it takes 2 years...Dropped it off today with it missing 3rd gear. Service guy once again mentioned that these broncos are a problem and I would most likely need another at some point which makes me feel great!
They said one week so will see if that's real or not.
