I have a 23 4 door with MIC with about 1300 miles. 90% of those are around town back and forth to work. I use 87 and showing 17.5 mpg.

So I own a bronco wildtrak 4 door. Got it August 2022. Whenever I check on the touch screen , It always says I'm averaging 12.8 MPG but I though the wildtrak is supposed to get around 17. What numbers are y'all getting ?

Thanks in advanced. I'm beyond curious
Watch your boost gauge and try and stay out of it and see. For example, going down the freeway there is a speed at which the Bronco will stay 2-3 lbs....bad for mpg.

I have a 4 dr WT, 1,600 miles on it with about 150 lbs of armor on it so far, tires aired down to 34/35 and I'm still at 15/16 mpg avg on the computer..oh and that is with 87 octane.

Just did a fairly aggressive road trip with it yesterday...240 miles and my trip shows 17 mpg for it..and that was with me running in Slippery 4A mode much of that drive.

Basically you're 12 seems really low. So either something isn't right, or you're driving it like a madman constantly! :)

I’m curious too.

I would recommend trying this:

1) Find a highway that you can drive a constant speed on without bothering the other drivers. The road should be as flat as possible with shallow turns. No headwind and ambient temperatures between 50 and 80 degrees F.

2) Gently accelerate to 50 to 55 MPH. Hold that speed with your cruise control for a minute.

3) Reset your trip odometer on the fly. Watch the MPG display on the odometer until it is steady….perhaps a couple of miles or more while remaining on cruise control at the same speed without touching the accelerator or brakes.

4) This should be the MAXIMUM MPG that your vehicle is capable of. I’m guessing it should be around 22 MPG if not higher.

5) If it’s significantly less, like 15 or 16 MPG you have a mechanical problem. If it is around 22 or higher you have a driving skills problem.

Edit: Should be done in the final drive gear.

4-dr floppy v6 WT - pretty steady 17mpg. Haven't been able to get much better than that even in eco.

So you getting 17 in eco ? How about without it ? You use regular fuel ?

My '23 Wildtrak is only a couple weeks old. I have almost 600 miles on it and filled it twice since new.
I've gotten 15.8 and 14.8 on regular gas. It's still being broken in and I'm basically 100% around town at the moment. This is not in Eco mode.

It's interesting to see that some are getting better fuel mileage with premium fuel. So far, I've used 87 octane and I only use Top Tier Gas so the octane rating shouldn't hurt with the cleaning of the engine.
I would like to see the price comparison of those getting better mileage with more expensive gas to see if it works out.

Regular fuel, in regular mode (never done eco on regular for some reason) i was at 16.8. I have driven in both regular and eco on premium (93). Hasn't varied much more than maybe 1/2 mpg (16.9 - 17.3). 90% of my driving is what I'd consider "suburban" (kind of between city and highway).

My driving tendencies dont really change when I'm on eco vs regular, I just find eco to be a bit smoother.

Fluctuates depending on how much I put my foot in it. 16.2 is about the worst I have gotten. Current tank 100 miles in is sitting at 19.2.

If I can get 19/20 on my new 2023 when it comes in I'll be very happy.

I'm keeping the stock 35" tires but going to put 17" KMC Monoblock wheels they are about 24lbs. each vs the stock wheels that are about 35lbs. So I'll be saving about 10lbs. a wheel so hopefully that will help alittle.

Damn I put regular ... Not premium . Just followed the instructions and mentioned normal is fine . Didn't know premium would increase MPG...
Only your foot will increase mpg.
