It’s likely many of us have heard of the Carolina Squat, but if you take things to the opposite coast you have the California Squat.
Take the front completely back to stock, but leave the portals, coilovers, and forties on the back.
Pros:
Your bronco now looks…well…not good. But you’ll definitely be turning heads. Pretty sure people were saying “what the eff” or “wow that fucks” as we drove by. Hard to tell, I was more focused on that whole driving thing rather than seeing how people I don’t know were reacting to the sight of our car.
You will absolutely be needing to pay full attention to the road. One might think the handling is poor with this setup. I can assure you that it is significantly worse than what you are expecting. It feels like the suspension is about to fall off up front. (Maybe it was?)
4x4 is no longer an option. Or ABS. Traction control. Adaptive cruise. All those silly extras that are just going to break anyway.
The tires up front are much cheaper to replace. Probably not a concern though as you’ll definitely end up in a horrific crash if attempting interstate speeds.
But in all reality we just needed to take a break during the swap. It’s quite the process because you’re not simply installing a new part into a vehicle. It’s pulling parts from old vehicle, then new vehicle, then installing that part in new vehicle, and installing other parts into old vehicle. The 2022 is like Benjamin Button if Benjamin Button started off as a baby then grew up but then grew back in to a baby.
