I have a 2004 Xterra 5sp. It has a little over 192k miles on the original clutch and I did heavy off roading with it.
The 1st gen was an entirely different transmission. No idea on the longevity on that one. I know plenty of people with 2nd gens who had it fail at right around 60k.

2nd gen seems to be a step backwards in a few areas. And then there's the whole SMOD ordeal.

Here is what your stock clutch looks like, they are not rated for much over stock I can guarantee that, they are a dual mass flywheel and self adjusting clutch systems made by luk clutch in Germany. They will be a week point if you plan on running big tires, power mods and doing som heavy 4 wheeling climbing steep angles, We are partnering with southbend clutch testing our aftermarket clutch lines that we will be bringing to market, for more info and to stay current on the release of the first aftermarket clutch brought to market, follow broncbustertx.com or txbroncbyster on Facebook.
