Yeesh. Can't wait for the forum to erupt when even ppl that changed from MOD top to MIC to get a 2021 get pushed to 2022...

I will definitely be the first - I am cutting big options to get a sooner delivery - if I still end up 22 - I would be upset. Jeep purchase or Defender purchase upset? Not sure yet.... we'll see.

Not to mention that Ford is facing potential plant idling as F150's are juuuuuuuuust about to cease production due to chip shortages. Depending on how that goes, it's possible (although unlikely with JITM) to shift 2.7 production for Bronco and deliver to MAP.

I'm on the 2.3/MT bandwagon (seats available!), but I could see the chip shortage helping Bronco production with the caveat that Bronco is less likely to be impacted than F150 except on any shared chip boards. (and politely ignoring all the other parts deficiencies already known for bronco)

I have to admit I am strongly also considering naming my 2.3 MT Badlands "Rick Astley"...ie., I am taking Rick Astley to the trails for a couple hours...got to get some new shoes for Rick Astley.

Yes, I wouldn't change my order to avoid delays at this point. It's far better than I predicted is the point, yes some orders will have issues that hold them up, but thats true all the time. F-150 and Ranger both have more commodities this month than Bronco, its normal business. I was just afraid that demand for 2.7L (for example) would be 20-30% higher than they could build, that doesn't look to be the case which is why I'm excited. THIS IS GOOD NEWS!

So just trying to understand - between you and me - (everyone else stop reading now and go to the next post, nothing is happening here) - I switched to the 2.3 to get it sooner - do you think I should switch back to the 27 before April 8th?

The short answer is that altering your order in hopes of an earlier delivery is folly.

Order what you want but trying to second guess parts is extremely risky. If having a Bronco is more important than the options then get a base model no options.

I'd get what you want. 2.7 is still listed as a commodity so Ford thinks demand is greater than supply. I'm just saying that based on the % I don't think it will be a catastrophic delay, but there's still a chance it could push you back, I just expect that could be weeks at this point, not months or next year as I'd previously expected.

In my slightly biased opinion, they should just get all the 2 doors w/MIC tops done and out of the way, since the numbers are less than estimated.
