Dark mode via ForScan

Does anyone know if in forscan i can enable a "dark mode" similar to what police explorers use. Were going to do some astrophotography and i would like to eliminate the lights as much as possible while were out there

You can change I’m your settings. I did it last week. I’m the display settings, you can set it to night mode all the time and vice versa.

There is a dark mode in forscan. I do not know what it does so I didn’t mess with it.

when you open your doors and all the lights turn on, open the tailgate and the lights turn on etc... lol ill try the dark mode see what happens

when a cop walks up to his cruiser opens the doors... no dome lights no dash etc.... made to be stealth at night

Yes I enabled this in forscan and it blacks everything out exterior and interior

What types of stuff does it black out on exterior? Also does just the speed light up in the display?

Following as this was on my mind. When I arrive for star observing in the desert, and need to go again for something inside the car or raise the liftgate, I don't any light to disturb my dark eyesight accommodation or get a beeping and flashing rear lights.

So after it is enabled by forscan, can I switch is on/off if I am out in the wild?

Sadly no you would then go back in and redo forscan but it disables the cabin lights the tail lights (opening the back) and the horn beeping when you double lock. All other dash lights continue to work but you can manually dim them
