Almost all of the DD lights have an "auxiliary backlight" feature, which is the amber you are seeing. It's a separate wire and can be controlled via a separate switch (or running light tap). They also offer red, blue, and white as backlight colors. The white is the main light. When the lights are off, you can't see anything other than a clearish white lens.OK. So, I am pretty ignorant on lighting. Your lights when off, appear to be standard white light. In the first "On" photo, they appear Amber. Then they again appear to be white in the final photo. I don't understand how the lights work. Are they amber? Are there two "On" settings, Amber & White? Is this unique to the DD Lights?
