Disappointment turned to Excitement

Well I finally got the chance to see a Bronco in real life. I was completely underwhelmed!
the Bronco in question was a Base with soft top. I didn’t take any pics I was so unimpressed…
I have on order a Badlands Sasquatch, but I could not imagine a small lift and bigger tires could save this thing!

Holy Smokes was I wrong.

Yesterday I got a chance to test drive a Wildtrak and was completely blown away!
Sasquatch completely transforms this truck! (the base was a car)

Below are some comparison shots with my 2010 JK. For reference, I have a 3/4” front level and 34” (285/75/17) tires (worn)…

They obviously haven’t sorted out the hinge paint issue yet…

I was very impressed with the power from the 2.7. Even in eco mode it had more getup than my Wrangler!
Wind noise at highway speed was less than the Jeep. (top and doors off)

I went from completely disappointed, to completely stoked!

When I saw the non-Squatch versions I was underwhelmed. I have yet to see a Squatch in person.

I agree. Same thing with a Jeep - lift/wheels immediately change it from a roller skate/car into a JEEP. However, I’d have to say that white steelies on the BASE with tall/skinny tires tugs at my heart in a good way as well.

Went through the same disillusionment after the south east mall crawler tour, then drove a four door Badlands non-Squatch: world of difference in look. Also, Badlands overlaid over '08 JKUR w/ 3" lift on 34's:

This is the situation with many Jeeps. Especially 4 door later model Wranglers having larger wheelwell openings. It can be a night and day difference in looks, until larger tires are installed. No doubt many Base buyers, are planning to install their own custom wheels and tires.
