It causes friction and pressure in the bell housing, which can cause it to either melt through the housing to the cables underneath and could cause your car to catch on fire. Or causes a pressure buildup and it'll explode.Does it degrade and cause friction/heat? Does the clutch material itself become flammable? What the hell?!
It's a design flaw, not a defective part. So there's no fix. They told us to get it inspected. They said they will just keep replacing the part and you just hope it doesn't explode.
