I don't understand how everyone will make one for the ranger but not the 2.3 bronco 😑🙄 really bumming me out.

There are ABSOLUTELY gains to be had.. even without a tune. You ARE leaving some on the table sans tune... but gains are gains... that sound too... ugh. Cmon.

Exactly. My old Audi had a Revo tune before I did JHM, and it was one of those tunes that'd go out if the battery was pulled, so while it lost some pep, with a Downpipe, kept some

I'm a newbie with custom parts, where could I get a quality 400 cell, as I heard that's enough to avoid triggering a CEL. Also what size should I get to fit, wanna do one and done, but with some customization included (Ceramic coating)

I don’t think 2.3’s are the bulk of Broncos…particularly ones intended to be modded. Which to me is wild; a version of a turbo’d 2.3L Ford motor has been around since the early 80’s.

I haven’t been around here much lately, but it seems Ford was shifting to remove the 2.3L from much of their Bronco lineup and focus on the 2.7L.

But then they'd have to allow you to get an MT on a 2.7L.
Not sure why they are restricting the MT to the 2.3L.

I don’t think 2.3’s are the bulk of Broncos…particularly ones intended to be modded. Which to me is wild; a version of a turbo’d 2.3L Ford motor has been around since the early 80’s.

The 2.3T debuted in 1979 but has no relation to today's 2.3 EB and the only commonalities are displacement and base motor option.

What makes you think Ford is trying to shift away from the 2.3 EB? If they wanted to kill it they would kill it. It's not like it has a huge following. Besides, they probably need it in the lineup to stay CAFE compliant.

Not trying to get off topic but it seems readily accepted that if you want a 2.3 downpipe you need to head to a custom exhaust shop.

No shit its origin is of no relation to today’s ecoboost options. I’m saying that the 2.3L has been a mainstay for a while in the lineup across all Ford models.

And Ford is most focused on their premium models, aka, not 2.3L. If you don’t see that you’re blind. It’s the reason they killed the base model, the basesquatch, and effectively killed the manual.

Finally, yeah, I know you go to a custom exhaust shop. It’s literally the exact thing I said. Find yourself a custom shop and be done with this bullshit wishwashy shit company.

Then go here to get a good stage 3 or 4 turbo for your application.

Because Ford doesn’t care. And they wouldn’t HAVE to allow you anything. They gave a manual option for the marketing machine to say that a manual was available.

The MT-88, built off the MT-82, is just not well suited for the Bronco’s purpose.
