The 2.3 and limited color options are gonna be the killer for that trim level.

If I was unscheduled, it is the only Moar Door that I would consider ordering. Those that do will likely jump the line from others who are steadfast in maintaining their original build.

There is a finite production capacity at MAP. Ford is committed to building Bronco Raptors and Everglades in MY'22. Ranger production isn't going to cede to the Bronco with their own special Splash Editions on top of the regular trims getting built. The demand for the the Raptor and Everglades will take priority over a stock trim.
Excellent point. But even the rarity and build priority not enough to make me consider it.

I do like the fenders & wheels, but it seems costly for what you're getting?

I prefer aftermarket bumpers for winch mounting, and the snorkel reminds me of a Heep or Toy

Agree completely.

Besides the wheels and fenders, the Everglades is a big nothingburger.
You mean the parts that look heritage.

Webasto / Ford top engineering has so sadly screwed up the launch of this vehicle. They are lucky people have been so willing to compromise.

Yep. Put those wheels and fenders on the option list separately - and Ford would sell a shit ton of them.

It's a non functional snorkel.
Not sure where you heard that but that is absolutely not correct. The snorkel is not only functional but has options for how air gets fed. You can have it taking air from the rear for dusty/snowy environments or you can have it open to the front in cleaner air situations.

Seems like a good fishing or hunting truck, depending on where you live. I don't see many people in the desert needing a snorkel, but if you live near a swamp, it's useful.

So, apparently no empirical data, but these posts kind of tell the tale.
When I build a similar BD, I get a price about $3500 less than an Everglades.
i love the wheels, I love the interior, the larger screen and the squared fender flares.
From what I understand, the snorkel, with its adaptive design, is effective in heavy snowfall and very dusty environments, as well as water fording. Im going to keep it real, I’m not going to go hard in a brand new vehicle, but when I do, I think it’s going to be awesome to have the winch and snorkel. So I see the value in all the things. And if it’s unpopular overall, that could also add residual value if less are built.

There’s nothing about the entire “edition” that does anything for anyone really. It’s a miss in my opinion

I'll buy those flares in a heartbeat if they become available. Love the wheels as well.

I'm in, actually. My front yard is 6.8 ft above sea level, I hunt turkeys in the swamp, ducks in rice fields that sometimes overrun their dikes, and have had water up to my thighs during a couple hurricanes. I could do without the snorkel, really, but I don't hate it, and kinda like the overland look. If it bugs me, I'm sure someone will 3d print a grill for the hole in the fender at some point. The winch won't get a lot of use, but I've used one to pull out trees, straighten frames, and various other things so it's fine, too. Mostly though, I like the Desert Sand color (I'm still salty about the antimatter blue discontinuation), the interior accent color (wasn't a fan of the blue or orange of my previous builds), the wheels, the fenders and the general look of it. Is it for everyone? Nope. Is it a good value? Probably not, but I do know that when I saw the first promo video I thought "I want that". If it ends up a rare option, that suits me fine, not so much for the value reason, but I like the idea of having something a little different. (The first actual Bronco I saw in the wild was pretty much my exact first build, same trim, same color, owned by a guy about 2 miles down the road.) I'd rather not "jump the line" with my Sept 9 2020 reservation, but if it gets me my truck sooner, I'm not going to complain about that, either. And oh, yeah, the decal goes away immediately.

Seriously??? I missed that. I thought Ford increased the diff breather tube lengths, only put the 2.3 for higher alternator location and sealed the air box for snorkel use. Hell at that point I would consider making my own snorkel
Let me clarify, based on the location of the airbox on a Sas Bronco and the 36.4" water fording depth, it makes the need for a snorkel is totally unnecessary. The snow/dust advantages (others have brought up) is just marketing hype, a solution to a non-existing problem.

As to the rest of the Everglades, I like the fenders, the wheels are the best of the lot, the winch for many would be more useful than disco, and I like the additional color. So the only thing I'm down on is having a snorkel that serves no real purpose.

i disagree with your description of a non-existing problem. Around here, we’ve got lots of seasonal roads that get washed out, but also get bone dry and so dusty you gotta carry an extra air filter.
It’s a big continent, with many different environments. 🙂

Nothing cool or exciting about it. Even the decal is super lame. Who came up with this idea? Lame.
