you cant get even close with a bronco.Engine just isnt made for that. Unfortunately. You can get some throatiness but nothing close to the v8 you had. You dont have to spend a lot of money on a bronco exhaust to get the same sound. I have been looking around too. I have listened to 400 dollar systems versus 1500 dollar systems with same volume.
I always say, don't try to make a Bronco sound like a V8. Make a good sounding unique V6.

No it's not.
Thanks Raptor. I just like keeping the sound as deep as I can. I don’t like the high pitched noises that I hear out of most v6’s. I’ll check out those brands you narrowed down to though.

Yah I love Roushs and Borla. Reason I liked Magnaflow is because it sounded similar to an Explorer ST Interior-wise.

If it helps, check out the TrailRecon install/review video of the Borla Exhaust on his personal Bronco. Good decibel test and the sound options that can be generated by the different baffle options. video at

Gotcha. I haven’t had the ability to ride in one of those. I do want to though.

Out of the 8 systems we've installed, tested and reviewed in my personal opinion the AWE sounds the best to me. Not only does their dual tip and single tip catback sound great even just the bash guard setup sounds really good.

AWE

Roush sounds really good - Nice deep bass tone to it. No rasp.

MRT Trail rated - I liked this system a lot too. Drove a 12 hour trip with it on and throughout the mountains on some trails and it was awesome.

MRT King of the Hill

Kooks - Very subtle sounding but a good improvement over stock. No drone or rasp. Definitely for those who want a better deeper sound for their bronco but not anything aggressive.

Thermal R&D - Sounds great. Subtle while cruising but a good growl out of it when you get on it.

Let us know if there's anything we can help you guys with.

Thanks!

Yea that doesn’t sound bad at all. Might have a contender for the awe. I’ll have to look into this system some more.

Im wanting a little more sound with my bronco as well and I feel like my first step will be to simply remove the muffler can to check the tone. If I like it I will probably just go with the flowmaster outlaw axle back for around $120. I just cant spend $$$$$ on exhaust...

I am considering this as well. This vs a 900 cat back system does not sound that much different imo. Not for 750 more. The afe appollo doesnt sound much different then outlaw axle back and 300 less.

Nope. Can't be done.

Exhausts are like kids. You inexplicably like your own, but most other people's kids (and exhausts) are annoying as hell.

Every time you see someone say, "I put XYZ exhaust on my V6 and it sounds great," remember that they're the same type of person that will say, "My little Jaxsyn is an absolute angel and a wonderful child." And then remember that Jaxsyn is a little shithead that kicks dogs and bites his classmates and reconsider trusting that person's opinion.
As a mother of two children. This is the best comparison. LOL.
