I reserved a 2dr Badlands and will get it with the 7sp. My wife’s rig‘s is a 2020 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited with a manual. It will be fun to have both!
I reserved the Base 2dr before finding out that the sasquatch package may not be available with the 7MT. I'm keeping my reservation for now until we have more info on either that option or the so called 200 factory accessories, so i know whether or not it's worth it to me.
2 Door Base with Sasquatch, 2.7L , and 10 Speed Automatic.
I love the fact that Ford allowed us to obtain the "base" model with all of these phenomenal options
for us people that want all of the offroad bits and don't care too much about the luxury bits.
4D badlands with 2.3L and manual.
I would have paid more for the 2.7 with the manual but ....not available.
Will still have to add a hard top, mid level, maybe all the to the lux depending on cost.
Would pay more for Sasquatch but....not available due to the manual.
I guess Ford doesn’t want my $$$$.
If they had offered the manual with the 2.7 I would have been first in line but now I am willing to wait with the hopes of Ford reconsidering.
Such a bittersweet process.
2 door Big Bend manual 2.3 with the mid package is the goal for me. Should check every box I could have and then some. Would have gone with the base but being able to get heated seats, keyless entry, leather steering wheel, lane assist, and auto high beams, as well as the Area 51 color pushed me up in trim.
Originally reserved a 2 door badlands, changing to a Black Diamond. For less or equal money (hopefully) to a base Badlands, I should be able to get a BD with squanch pack, mid level. I get my lockers, steel bumpers and upgraded suspension on 35’s, short of a winch and a GMRS radio, I have all the equipment right off the showroom. It’s hard for me to be able to add on equipment, getting extra funds together over the payment and insurance can be difficult. This package gives me 95% of what I need, included right in the monthly payment. Since it sounds like I won’t lose the trail mapping by going down to the 8” screen, the only thing I’m missing from the Badlands that I’d really want would be the discos.
I go trail riding/wheeling most every weekend, add in the fact that my #1 co pilot is a 5 yr old with autism, and it made perfect sense for the marine grade with rubber floors and drain plugs.
4 door - got kids and this will be my EDD and traveling car for fam
Black diamond - rubber floor and vinyl seats. i go dogs and kids...... need I say more.
automatic - I drive standard right now and may stay with standard if the price is too high for automatic. as long as I have cruise I am good
4DR Black Diamond: this will be my daily driver/adventure/take me into retirement vehicle. Bucket list item is the Trans America Trail when retirement gives me the time.
Reasons why I chose the Black Diamond: Steel wheels, rear locker, armor and steel bumpers and rock rails.
Colors/Interior: Cactus Gray or Area 51 or Antimatter Blue; light colored seating, my current car has black leather...never again!
Must haves are Auto trans., Mid package, Hard top, towing package
Like to haves are 2.7 Liter, Signature LEDs if possible, Adaptive Cruise if offered ala carte.
