For reference this is how I accessed it. I took the plastic trim off around the recovery point (four push pins hold it on and then it unclips on the ends).

This is on the passenger side. It’s hard to get a good view and angle of a solid reference where to look and where the plug actually is.

That CERTAINLY isn’t there on mine. Perhaps it’s routed above or something. I’ll look around later today. I was planning on tackling this project today.

Trying to find a picture but there’s a picture I’ve seen floating around of a bronco in the Middle East sporting a rear foglight above the trailer hitch in the bumper.

Cool! Small and inconspicuous...
But very bright I bet!
Yup! My logic is that the plug for it should be in that general area. Then I could hang a small pod to the right of my hitch and wallah! Back up lights

Sadly it’ll be end of October before I see mine if everything goes to plan but I figured it would be similar to the switch in my past Fords, usually it has a button for the fog and if not that area is left blank. So basically get my switch and figure out where the foglight power is. Knowing my luck the foglight wiring is there and just tied up or cut short.
Sounds like your of the same mindset as me that no forscan work is needed. Just use your own relay once you figure out the wires in the OEM switch, no?

The switch doesn't control the light... It controls the BCM.
It's likely a resistive circuit. The BCM reads different resistance values (voltage drop) to know what to switch

No I definitely know Forscan will be needed, sadly 😂

Everything is CAN-BUS or whatever it's called...
I think Ford calls it’s a “Medium Speed Network” which honestly worries me 🤣

I’ve got a 2017 F250 Platinum and somehow corrosion got into one of the plugs causing the tailgate to drop every time I pressed the brake pedal 😂 Hopefully they have it figured out now so that won’t be an option.

I just confirmed that the wiring is there on my badlands. Where is the fuse for the fogs. I can not find it listed in the Fuses in the owners manual. I want to make sure it is there.
