It's in Porsche vehicles, but I think it should be easily disabled and automakers seem to be avoiding that, but why? It's not like the obvious bs they play to pass the EPA regulations. What is their motivation to prevent the consumer from turning it off? Do they have a deal with Big Tech to regulate cabin sounds to help your phone spy on you? Ford needs to answer us!

I'd include all cosmetic plastic surgery, but some people don't mind and even like it. Putting V8 sounds in a four cylinder is like... nope, getting back to nsfw territory. It's just clearly false like when Ashlee Simpson got caught lip syncing.

One possible benefit of the fake sound is getting the auditory que on when to shift the manual. I assume the 2.3l is super quiet and the digital tachometer that we've seen so far doesn't look all that impressive. I might keep it if it isn't too obnoxious. Until the V-8 swap that is...

I've always shifted by sound. If the piped-in sound help me hear the engine better, that's cool. If it interferes with me hearing the true engine noise, I got peeps who know how to fix that kind of nonsense. I'm not going to worry about it until I get my hands on it.

My M4 has that and did a nice job with it.

I'd have to hear how other's have pulled it off and how ford does

My focus has it, I unplugged the module on day one. In other places the same module does noise cancelling, but not in North America. So nothing else was affected.
I had a rental ecoboost mustang in California that had it and that was one of the most obnoxious implementations

Well, we'd have to get our hands on actual Broncos and dig into them to find if they have the code, and if it's been activated. It's a simple fix if it is. But it's entirely possible, that this feature isn't enabled. I'll take mine into the shop and check when I get it. ... I ordered every late availability option in existence on 14 July, so... It may be a while.

I've got the fake noise in my 2019 F150 with 3.5 EB. I like it and it's just a little rumble for the interior. Sounds even better in the sport mode. Its hard to make a V6 or 4 cylinder sound good inside or outside the vehicle IMO so I'll enjoy the fake rumble.
