Just found @ZachDanger 's Project he completed from 2016. After a little paint you won't even be able to tell it wasn't OEM. SEMA prize winner for fit and finish surely.

I won't likely use them as intended, however they are a great way to mark the front corners in tight places. I will leave them and use them for spotting. Like an FJ you won't be able to see the front corners from the driver's seat. I had an ARB bumper with the "roo-guard" that I could see. It was a big help. You may end up liking them.
You could just add a little socket to the bumper and stick a fiberglass rod in it. The for the 99% of the time you aren't risking running into things just take the rods out and stick them under the back seat or whatever.

No ugly hood ornament necessary, and it costs 1/10th as much.

No. I hope to never hit anything/anyone.

My post was meant to illustrate the hood design between the Bronco and Bronco Sport.

- Bronco has a traditional hood design. Thus, less pedestrian impact friendly. With the tie-down mounts, even less so.

- Bronco sport has a capped-over hood design (like almost all modern cars made in the last 10 years or so) to meet European pedestrian safety requirements. This design allows them to easily add mechanism to pop the hood up a few inches at the back in case of a frontal collision. This creates an air space under the hood to provide a softer impact/landing in the event of a collision with a pedestrian.

Yes, I'd like an option to delete or replace those hood tie downs with just a simple flush surface, preferably the same color as the Bronco body color.

I’m sure the aftermarket will have something pretty quickly.
