I agree with @AKBronc49, find the truck and deal YOU want and make it happen. Even if you get a 2.7L truck in the valve recall window, my understanding is they GENERALLY tended to go bad very quickly, like less than 10K miles, if it actually had bad valves. Plus I believe those VINs covered under the valve recall have a pretty generous extended power train warranty.
Just research the VIN and options closely as the axil/skids/final drive ratio/tire size/billion other options gets confusing across packages and model years. Later painted tops are more favorable than MIC. Personally I'd consider Sasquatch as a no brainer. I'd probably also look for the Severe Duty Steering Rack in there for the piece of mind it provides, even if you only do light off roading. Oh, if there are any open recalls *cough* be sure they are addressed or at least come to terms with them.

Do NOT buy a FE that's not Lightning Blue!

I have an FE and it is within the faulty valve window. I had the engine test performed and the dealer said it passed. I have almost 57K miles on it and had to get the rear diff rebuilt a few months ago...under warranty. Other than that, its just the usual recalls that take forever for Ford to figure out a solution for. In all honesty, I feel the only reason to go for an FE at this point is strictly if you want Lightning Blue as a color. If you want any other color, you are better off looking for a 2022+ Badlands, or newer with the Hoss 3.0 steering rack. Since all FE's were early builds, I don't think any of them have the reinforced mounts for the rear upper control arms...which have been known to crack at the welds and separate from the frame.

Thanks. I had previously been focused on 2023-2024 Badlands with the SAS or Wildtraks.
It was just the emotion of seeing that Lightning Blue FE that got me back on looking again.
I currently own a 2021 80th Anniversary Jeep Gladiator that's lifted & on 37s. I would need to sell it or trade it in towards the one I find (whichever one that is).

Lightning Blue….arguably the best color for a Bronco! I am biased!

Heck, add 37” Tires…even better!

We picked up a used FE Sas back in June. We have put 20k miles on it since then. Currently sits at 82k. Absolutely love it. My primary reason for getting the Sasquatch package was our driveway. 13% grade for part of it, and 1100 feet long. I'm the 10 years we have been here, I've had to chain up each year at least 2x. Not this year. Not once! As far as work required so far: Had the clock spring go out so the heated steering wouldn't work. Fixed under extended warranty. Have an appointment on a week to have the front driveshaft changed. Noticed a slight vibration. Took it in and the boot evidently was torn and allowed the joint closest to the transfer case to wear out prematurely. Love this so much I doubt we will ever sell it. We will probably just get the wife one in the next few years.

For those of you that purchased yours fairly recently, would you mind sharing what you paid for yours?
They're asking $46,975 for the one I'm looking at. Seems kind of high, even with only around 28,000 miles.
Thanks

I purchased my FE in 2021 with 400 miles and lots of markup$. I still daily it today and I've had her all over the country. Only issue I've had was the fuel filter failed and of course it was covered with warranty. If i were buying today, I would still go with a FE. I'm at 45k miles
