I went with the 100,000 for 8 years from @Granger Ford , while I do low milage now anything can change in life. My fear is that my commute or daily travel plans change and annual mileage is greater. 8 years is a long time and would be the longest that I have owned a vehicle, so that was my analysis of what to procure. I also used my Ford points towards the purchase to lower the cost. I figured I would apply that to my budget allowing for a longer period of time and or miles.

@Granger Ford cost + $50, can't beat it.

I colored it for slightly more intuitive number breaks. Now you can compare plan cost structure to per mile.

EDIT: added the cost table above to be on the same page.

we plan on keeping ours for a long time, so we went 10/125k. also got dent, tire, and premium care with granger. ended up saving $2800 with those compared to my dealer, and they only offered max 6/125k.

Have purchased extended warranties on four previous Fords. Never used them on the first three. Just used one this week. Doing the rough math, I have spent $4-4.5K on warranties that didn’t get used. Still have the vehicles. Did not purchase one on my Bronco. Being retired the years would expire well before any mileage limit.

Can you guys work the Numbers as well on the Ford Premium Maintenance. They said they can do the same Deal $50 over Cost on that plan.

I would love to see the break down numbers.

My car just arrived at @Granger Ford and now I need to decide which warranty I should go with, if any.

This is only for the PREMIUM CARE ESP WITH $100 deductible as of 3/22/23.

I did a cost per mile analysis for each option in the table to find out what would be the best bang for the buck. I hope this will help others make an informed decision.

Here's a breakdown of the cost per mile for each option, calculated as (Price / (Miles * Years)):

Ford Bronco Ford Extended Warranty Plan Analysis (Cost-Per-Mile Comparison) 1679517982808

Considering that most modern cars are built to last at least 100,000 miles without significant issues, it's reasonable to assume that the probability of encountering problems increases beyond the 100,000-mile mark. With that in mind, I chose a plan that offers coverage up to the 100,000-mile range.
Looking back at the cost per mile breakdown, the following options are close to the 100,000-mile range:
  1. 60,000 miles / 6 years: $0.0019 per mile
  2. 75,000 miles / 7 years: $0.0030 per mile
  3. 85,000 miles / 7 years: $0.0029 per mile
  4. 100,000 miles / 7 years: $0.0020 per mile
From these options, the 100,000 miles / 7 years plan stands out with a cost per mile of $0.0020, which is only slightly higher than the best overall cost per mile (60,000 miles / 6 years at $0.0019 per mile). This plan provides a good balance between coverage and cost, making it the best option when considering the potential for car issues beyond the 100,000-mile mark.

I hope this helps others in selecting which warranty to chose.
Is there a selection on the dash that you can track this to know when you break even or start to go in the hole? So bottom line it don't matter!!

7 year, 100K is what I went for. Bought through @Granger Ford (didn't get the truck there) and got a great deal!

Planning to get whatever my FordRewards will get Jan 2024. Currently at 195,000 points. We travel full time and put everything on the Ford credit card and earn about 10,000 a month.

I’ve never purchased an extended warranty. Stupid question…the 10 yr/100,000 miles includes the 3 yr/36,000 limited warranty? So you really are only getting 7 years/64,000 miles???

Yes but I’m sure Ford factored that into the cost. One is simply buying an extension of the original.

I’m about to cross the 12k mile mark and still undecided on whether or not to get extended warranty. This breakdown is great

BTW, read the fine print on these warranties. They will cover the coolant system as long as it is a hose, clamp or belt, but water pumps are not included.

Water pumps are included . Dealer had incorrect warranty mileage for the coverage. All better now.
