It’s an industry problem. They are all juggling chips and production. Good news here is they are pushing off dealer stock where it appears they will be pushing more chips to unfinished builds and and retail customer orders. According to this post, In February, some 33 percent of the company's U.S. retail sales fulfilled previous customer orders. By pushing dealer stock allocation and shifting chips to retail orders I would think would help us.
I hope you're right Byran. However for myself, I don't think it will. We still have Fords '22 Bronco allocation formula to deal with. How Ford is going to figure a dealers previous sales into the allocation formula when dealers have no cars to sell with be quite interesting though.

I'm not seeing this as good news as the demand is not going away and Ford and others may be dealing with the supply chain shortage well into 2023. . Nothing would surprise me anymore including my 7/20/20 reservation not arriving until next year. I'm glad now that I ordered a 2nd OBX minus the SAS/MIC. That 12/09/21 order is still scheduled for 3/28 production so hopefully by June or July I'll take delvery.

Here's a quote from the article.

"Ford has lost 100,000 units of production due to 37 suppliers failing to provide parts as scheduled, the automaker told dealers in a meeting at the NADA Show here, according to three people present.

The issue has exacerbated Ford’s inventory woes that have left most dealership lots bare. Ford said it received 90,000 new-vehicle orders in January and another 72,000 orders in February, suggesting the company remains hampered by a backlog of orders amid production cuts. In February, some 33 percent of the company’s U.S. retail sales fulfilled previous customer orders."

why are you estimating a 3/28 build week to take 3 months to be delivered?

You really don’t think there would be a demand for something like that. I’d buy one I’m in a heartbeat over some of the other options available. The Everglades for one, I don’t even have the slighted interest in.

I am a minimalist and prefer reliability over comfort items. Now don’t get me wrong, I do love technology, when it is working properly. Do I like heated seats? Of course I do, but I don’t see it as a need in an off road vehicle.

I understand that it would be a narrow scope type of Bronco, but there are many that would buy it and many, if told today that they could have their Bronco built and delivered in the next 10 weeks, but it would have to be a minimal chip type of Bronco like I described, I’d bet you a coffee that more than five would be ordered 🤣
Yes, the rental companies would be stoked.

…a build week 1/17…hehe

Imagine having a 2021 Bronco, semi-built in your same boat. You’d think a reasonable, competent company would at least finish up the 2021s before shoving 2022s out the door. It’ll be mid year before the Last of the 2021s are finished and delivered.
And that, truly is a Shit Show!
@Ford Motor Company tell Jim Farley he can suck it

If it has a build date then they have all the parts necessary to fully build it.
Correction... If it has a build date, Ford has the parts scheduled to arrive on, or shortly before, that build date. Have a supplier miss a delivery or short fill their commitment... well...

Running near zero margins is what causes Dirt/Ice Mountain.

Piss poor management of the entire program from top to bottom is what causes day 1-2 reservation holders to sit and watch as identical builds to theirs are delivered as stock units or to walk-in order holders.

THis is exactly what I'm talking about. Ford publicly say the issue is with delays is about a CHIP shortage, which is bullshit! Ford just needs to come clean about what the real issues is with backlogs and stop say it's chip issues!
In the article…it’s more than chips, it’s all the constraints.

Ford has lost 100,000 units of production due to 37 suppliers failing to provide parts as scheduled, the automaker told dealers in a meeting at the NADA

Agree. At least it’s something new to try. Appears they have so many customer orders building they have no other choice to shift focus.

Since you feel that strongly about Ford, you should cancel your order and let someone else get their Bronco faster from as you put it unreliable POS company.
I see someone was triggered by my comment 😂 I said what I said . @Ford Motor Company at least Ford got one fanboy here

If it has a build date, they are scheduled to have the parts to build it. I was scheduled in January for a late March build. I wouldn’t expect them to have all of the parts for my build on hand.

Oh, and in that case Ford probably needs to admit the fucked up and took more orders than the could gave possibly fill in a timely manner. That's not a supply chain issues, that's called GREED at the customers expense.

Ford kept taking reservations and orders even when they knew there were supply chain issue and they had thousands of unfinished Bronco's sitting on Dirt mountain.

So, let's just admit it, it's easier to blame supply chain issue like a CHIP shortage than admit that that company fucked up. Well, Ford did actually kind of admit they fucked up. As of March 7th they stopped taking new orders to clear the back log, So at least there's that.
I wouldn't call unexpected demand "greed".

Guess what else is going to happen if they try and focus on orders instead of dealers inventory?

why are you estimating a 3/28 build week to take 3 months to be delivered?

June 1st would be 9 weeks after the start of my build week and I don't think many have gotten them much quicker than that. I also expect to get pushed back on the delivery date like many other Brocno owners have. Expect the worst from Ford and the supply chain and you would have been correct these last 19 months.

understandable, most of the other threads have seen little delays so im hoping our 3/28 weeks are the same. can depend where its going too though
