what is this ancient technology you call a "radio"? I think I remember that from the 1900's.

I'd pay an extra nickel for prizes in Cracker Jack but someone in authority was convinced that no prizes was a better business decision.
Leave the AM in vehicles please, I don't listen to it often but when I do I'm glad it's available. I will gladly pay an extra $5 on the truck that's costing me more than my first house.
I miss the stupid things they put in there, now all you get are stickers. My kids will never get to experience that.

For me, AM radio is handy when I'm bored to tears on a long drive and I've already scoured the entire available FM band. I have no idea what station I'd tune into for emergencies on AM, so it wouldn't be very useful in that regard to me, but maybe someday? Who knows. I'm more of a PM guy anyway.

It’s hard to pass up a 39k (-7500 tax credit) crew-cab F-150. Technically my wife drives it mostly and she hates AM talk radio, so you might be onto something here 😂

Restore it on 23s? So the receiver is still there and they skipped the software?
I've read it claimed that most (almost all?) radio chips support am+fm from the factory, and that you have to actually try and custom build a chip that doesn't support am. Supposedly the cost savings from ditching am support is negligible.

I don't know how true all that is, but I'm not shocked in the slightest that ford might have really just done a software kill... Also wouldn't be surprised if their end goal was to eventually charge people to "unlock" the am functionality. I guess I'm glad ford is changing their...tune, but if it's true the 23's had this feature hidden all along, big shame on Ford. I really wish they would stop trying to make people dislike their brand, because I've always loved their vehicles.

AM radio is a million percent more useful than SiriusXM radio. Hey Ford bring back HD radio that is one feature I miss and dump that useless SiriusXM.

Why is it useless? Cause you have to pay for it?

If I wanted to listen to the same 35 songs on a loop every 2 hours, I would make a spotify playlist.

If you're into talk radio or comedy it's okay I guess, but for music it's trash.

SXM traffic data is wrong 75%+ of the time. Streaming music on the internet is free. Satellite radio is low value technology and its RF bandwidth would be better used elsewhere. The cost of the service is worth it those who want it. Oh, you can stream it on your phone so you don't need the satellite receiver. I personally don't think it is worth the space and weight in my Bronco, I would rather have an HD radio receiver in its place.

AM radio is needed for news and weather events.
