When we bought a new F-150 last year, none of our phones was new enough to install Ford Pass.

I just bought a new Galaxy, which should have a new enough operating system to actually download the stupid thing. So, assuming I do so, and pair the Bronco with it (if it ever actually gets built) then I get 42,000 points right?

Then how do I use them?

Like, If I wanted to buy the custom fitted sun-shade (VM2DZ78519A02A), I'd have the parts counter order it? Then drive all the way back to the dealer a week later to get it?

Yes. Or you can use the points towards service.

I have thoroughly read the link above, which says you have to add it through your phone (which I could never do) Which is why I don't have any points even though I bought a brand new F-150 last year.

And it doesn't actually say how you spend any points you magically figure out how to get.

The points are worth like $200 so don’t get your hopes up too high BTW. I used mine towards service like mentioned above. Also the dealership has to add them to your account, you can’t add them.

I just want the $80 sun shade, and maybe the wheel locks. I don't know about the dealer adding the points, if so, then they could have done it when I bought the F-150. The Fordpass link (above) says you have to do it on your phone.

My dealership did it all for me, I didn’t have to add anything via the app.

That's it. I bought floor mats for mine. It's easy.parts guy can look up your points.orders your stuff and you go pick it up.

Except that Arizona is listed as one of the three states not allowed to purchase anything off that site. 🫣🥴

The warning includes Arizona, Oklahoma, and Vermont.

I am guessing that these three states have laws that protect dealers.🤷‍♀️

(Kind of like how California doesn't let you buy expended warranties from out of state dealers.)

The funny thing is it backfires if the state of Arizona thinks they are helping the Arizona dealers. My local dealers are crooks, and so I bought my Bronco out of state and I will buy my actual Ford accessories from out of state dealers or third parties like CJ Pony parts.

Which... by the way... on Ford's website, it says there are no warranties on electronics including lights, and yet CJ Pony Parts says they do warranty them. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
