After exiting and closing doors, my Bronco makes a “galloping” or thumping sound. Sometimes multiple times. Is this normal?

I didn’t notice it prior to installing an amp and new speakers so many it was there but much more faint.

Galloping you say? Trying to get out of the stable maybe?

Unfortunately mine has yet to be delivered so have no real world experience but have heard of a few people hearing strange noises after shutting down but most were the exhaust/cat cooling. Can you pinpoint were the noise is coming from.

It's the spare "part" from the other thread rolling around. Now if it whinnies and front end jumps in the air, get back in and yell "Hi-yo, Silver"
No, I hear a sound, too. It's the windows going back up. If you do not hear the window the door is not fully closed

It’s not the window. It sounds like 4 sets of “trots”. And no I’m not imagining it. I was trying to post the iPhone MOV but it doesn’t seem to play after I post it. I’ll try uploading again.

Sure sounds like a servo of some description resetting or trying to ?close. From what part of vehicle does it emanate?

I hear it too. Figured it was just some normal equipment boot up or shutdown noises.

The sound appears to be coming from audio, speakers. I recorded that by leaving the phone in the Bronco before I exited and closed the door.

Try turning audio volume way down before shutdown?

Yes, at this point the audio controls are no longer affecting the volume as the audio is supposed to be off so the volume level is constant. But I can increase the strength of the sound by increasing the gain on the amplifier…basically amplifying it more.

So, sounds like some servo shutting down is sending noise to audio system……sorry, that’s all I got.
OEM audio or some additions? Something needs a better ground or more shielding, I’d guess.
