Well I sort of have a strange question. I have the soft top, and plan on it being off most of the spring to fall. I will be buying a sunshade for some protection. I currently have my garage door openers on my visor, and really don't like them there. I had them in the center console and well that didn't work well either. Where do you all keep them safe and dry?

I have Apple Home and ask Siri to open the doors for me, the problem is my phone has to be unlocked for Siri to do it, and I keep my phone in my pocket.

I like the openers for the most part, just trying to figure out and easy spot to keep them.

You could remove the visor clip from the remote, apply some 3m adhesive and put it just about anywhere.

Does iphone have a feature similar to android's Smart Unlock? It keeps the phone unlocked when connected to a trusted bluetooth device (such as your car).

I hadn't thought about the remove the clip idea. My concern is them getting wet muddy etc.

I sure I could leave my phone unlocked, but I am not sure how much more battery it takes to have the screen on all the time. Doing short drive it probably would hurt anything.

Depending on the remote, you could remove the clip and put a protective silicone cover on it, then apply 3M tape to cover and attach it somewhere overhead. Above the drivers visor or the center console might be good options.

I know Amazon sells the silicone covers for a lot of different Liftmaster remotes. Not sure about other brands.

Somewhere under or to the side of the steering column or even under the center console lid.

The phone feature doesn't leave the screen on. Just that it's not locked. So for a voice command that needs the phone unlocked, it would just work.

But that's only my experience with Android. Not sure if there's an iphone feature like that.

We have a mini remote that we used to add to our keychain. In our Bronco Sport I velcro'd it way back in the console above the wireless charger, up and out of sight. That worked really well.

I changed my visor to a home link one. Extra remotes are on the back of the visor with Velcro.

This is what I would like to do, or the mirror. Still trying to figure out what is best for me/ and my wife.

I just say, “Alexa, open the garage door”, she asks for the code and up it goes.

I don't have any Alexa devices nor do I want them so I am out of luck with that one.

The Bronco has Alexa.
Yup so does my truck. I just don't have anything else with it. I use Apple Home along with Zwave for my security systems. I don't want anything to do with it or Google.

I just lifter the rubber weather stripping and slipped my remote over the windshield trim and viola it's in basically the same place as the homelink visor, out of site, and free. I did stick a small piece of foam on the back of it to prevent any rattles.
