Not my first choice for green but I'd still buy it if it were the option for MY22.

Honestly my plan is to get the carbonized gray and have accents of a lime green with aftermarket parts. I wouldn't want my whole bronco this color, but it would make it easier to find parts without having to pay to have everything powder coated lol

How is any green NOT possible? 🤔

(assuming Ford has legal and physical access to it)

The 4400 Bronco's were shown today...Did we just get a sneak peak at what the green in MY22 could be?
I'm hoping for a VB '21, but if Ford would offer that green in the photo above, I may have to wait for a '22!!

The two Grabber colors are vastly different. Lime is what's on that dedicated race rig. Also, I think it's important to find dull photos of a color instead of highly photoshopped or altered pics.

I'm a fairly adventurous person and prefer a flashy color over drab grayscale, however, Grabber Lime is pretty bad in person. Would have Cyber Orange 10 out of 10 times over Grabber Lime. (Full disclosure: I also strongly dislike these "melted crayon" flat paints such as A51 and Cactus Gray. Not the colors themselves, just the lack of character from the paint itself)

This would bridge Ford's wild horse vehicles...

Which is a thought I've had for a little while, not my first choice, but it would make sense as a Cyber Orange replacement.

I’m in total agreement on the “flat” colors. They will look very dated in a few years. Like spray paint. The classic rich, tri-flake or whatever style paint is what makes a car keep its premium feel and richness in all different lighting. The flat colors really “shine” in a much less broad spectrum of situations. A really good coat of wax can help a little bit though.

A few of the colors have much deeper and richer hue: The cyber; the carb gray, the brighter red color, and one of the 17 different blues but not sure which.

The cactus, silver, white, are all very flat to my eyes.

The Area 51 is less bad than the cactus but still flat.

Black is somewhere in the middle.

frankly, I think Ford totally fucking blew it on the colors of this truck. I don’t know how they messed it up so bad. I feel like I’m picking the one I hate least, instead of choosing which one I like best.

hoping for something nice in 22, but I’ll settle for carb gray.

Agreed that the 70's greens the forum majority seem to prefer are bland. But,
Lime > Gecko > Mojito

For the record, I would delay my build for any of the classic Grabber colors (blue, green or orange). Without question, the best color series ever produced.
Hell Ya, add some Metallic blue to this, then you talking seattle Seahawks Colors, matching my 72. (y)

Thank you. I have been trying to figure out how to accurately describe some of these new paints (Toyota seems to use this new style a lot as well) and Melted Crayon about sums it up.

A lot of new Bronco buyers here are going to rediscover what other 4X4 owners who offroad regularly already know;

Metallic paints are the second worst paint choice for vehicles that will get regularly scratched and chipped by brush, trees and rocks.
Only the Tri-coats, Cyber Orange and Rapid Red are worse than metallics.

Resale of metallics and tri-coats will suffer accordingly.

Bright, single coat paints are popular on actively trailed 4x4s for the cheap and easy repareability.
Resale will be much better.

Only mommy mall crawlers can go metallic or tri-coat.
.........

Yeah, Ford F-ed up the paint booth.

I'm the guy here who called the 2020 Bronco color selection:
50 shades of rental car.

We may find out Wednesday, hoping for a Mallard Green Heritage Edition, but we’ll see.

Well at least we agree Ford messed up the paint!

From my experience a good coat of wax will prevent most reasonable scratching off road. And I mean moderate off road, not hardcore wheeling. I do plenty of moderate off road trails but I’m just not going to be driving a $40k vehicle like it’s a $5k beater through tight woodsy trails. If you’re getting branch scratches through the actual paint, the paint job looks shit no matter what color. Unless it’s black: black gets scratched if you look at it the wrong way.

My metallic caribou brown f150 has seen more adventure trips than most and it still looks very clean unless you get very very close to it in the right light. Everything slides right off it.
