Seems like based on tire size the BB/OBX both will have higher ground clearance compared to Black Diamond. Is this true ?

Those three trims share the same suspension, so any differences in ground clearance will only be based on differences in tire diameter.

All three share 32” (class) tires... so differences will be extremely minimal. You’d have to look up manufacturer specs to get exact diameters... but it won’t be much and the difference in clearance will be half that.

Looks like BB and OBX are 32.1 diameter
But BD is shorter at 31.6

I know ground clearance isn’t Everything, but I figure the more rugged model would have had more clearance?

I think the BD stock tires give up a bit of overall height for some additional width. It's tires are also less on road biased and more off road biased than the BB and OBX (not to mention it has 18 inch wheels). I understand what you are saying, but it does appear to be a minimal difference.

Here's some rough math I was playing with earlier for the 4 door.

11.5 inch with SAS.
34.4-32.1=2.3
2.3/2=1.15
1.15+.4(adv hoss BL)+.4(sas)=1.95
11.5-1.95=9.55inch clearance for BB, OBX

34.4-31.6=2.2/2=1.4+.8=2.2
11.5-2.2
9.3 for BD

Yeah...the 0.4 /10mm SAS stop, I'm not sure if that actually adds to clearance, since it "limits upward travel."

None of the math works when you look at what they published for Base, 8.3.

Not so much a mystery as Ford just haven’t spelled it out for everyone. All we know is clearance is same or a little bit better than some SUV’s but not others like Jeep
