There is more to it than ground clearance. Approach, departure, and break over are what makes a vehicle capable. With 23 degree approach and 25 departure angles, the Forster isn’t getting over much.

My dad has a Forester. He wouldn’t describe it as reliable. His has transmission problems and the engine burns oil like it’s at burning man festival.

THIS...I’ve. Ever heard of reliability when it comes to Subbie’s and I know you can’t convince STI owners! lol

Listen I’m not Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting, but 11.5 with 35s, equals 8.5 for the Big Bend.
11.5 with 35s means 10 with 32s. You don't get all 3 inches below the wheel. Am I crazy?

Ok now I’m confused!
35-32=3

Tires are centered on wheels, which means 1.5 inches above and below the wheel, when going from 32s to 35s. Only the added 1.5 inches below the wheel adds to clearance. 11.5inch clearance on 35 = 10 inch clearance on 32..

Undecided
I have a feeling they're measuring at the rockers.
