Man that looked like fun. But I for sure would have beat the crap out of my stock JKUR.

There's a slim chance my WT may ship before you guys go again next year :poop: And if so, I'm in. At that point I'll have full belly skids and a winch to drag me over any thing that I can't clear.

Looks like an amazing day! I lived in El Dorado County for 20 years and miss the desolation wilderness. I need to take a trip out there soon to see my Jeeping buddies.

My modded rock rails took most of the punishment. You going bigger tire or more lift? Stock SAS Height is a limiting factor. You will be high centered more than you want.

Height is definitely the key. Portals axles or solid axle swap is the only way to get more height. I donā€™t think there is any other way.

I'm not planning on lifting the Bronco...and I have no hangups about pulling cable.... But time will tell, especially if you guys are able to sort out the steering rack issues. I just know that once you start lifting (Bronco or Jeep) you start getting into Pandora's Box (and thinner wallets)

Excellent way to spend Sunday weather was sunny and cool. We started on the Rubicon trail at Loon Lake and went to Little Sluice and back. Wheeling was amazing two of us even tried the Soup Bowl one two door and one four door it was a no go. If we had more time I would have liked to try a different line. Only carnage was a front steering rack broke at the end of the day, glad it was not deep in or he would have been out of luck.

This looks incredible. Any way to get a pic of the bumper with out the skeleton on the VB Bronco?

Any input from you guys if a stock Badlands Sasquatch could finish the trail minus the HERO Obstacles? (Only mods are the BRONCBUSTER tie rod braces and the rear shock skids.) The Rubicon trail has always been a dream for me.

Itā€™s a Bay Are Metal Fab bumper that I did some cutting on and cut the frame of the bronco back like 4ā€ to tuck it further in.

Do you have a side view? I was looking at the overland but your looks like the ā€œfront winch bumperā€ before you cut it. Is that correct?

Absolutely doable! It's more of how much you want to risk. Absolute best modification is a good spotter, you will need one every 5 minutes. This is one of those trails your going to get damage on.

This was my first taste of the trail and it is very much like several other trails I have run just longer. I didn't feel like I was vehicle limited. This trail is more geared to bigger tires and more clearance. Jeep with us had 3-4" more clearance and it made a noticeable difference on some obstacles.
