Help! My gf put antifreeze as windshield fluid

As others have said, not a big deal, just don't dump the coolant on the floor, it is extremely toxic and it attracts pets due to the sweet smell.

An inexpensive suction pump would possibly be an easier way to remove the antifreeze. The good news is that she didn't use blinker fluid.

DON'T EVER ADD BLINKER FLUID TO ANY OTHER RESERVOIR!!!!! IT WILL REACT BADLY. SEEN IT HAPPEN.

This is still better than someone I know has filled Diesel instead of Gas and drove the car back home with smoke came off the engine bay. To fix this Transmission and Engine has to flushed out completely, it costed some great deal of time and money.

If you can’t get to the tank drain, Get a length of tubing, fill it with water, and siphon everything you can out of the washer fluid tank.

The flush it a couple of times And spray the liquid off your bronco with a hose.

Not often when a mistaken fluid is both harmless and hilarious.

I've actually used coolant as deicer, apart from the unwanted animal attractant side effect, glycol works pretty well to break loose frozen things.

At one of my units had the MK1, guy assigned duties of maintaining station vehicles, tell me we needed to order washer fluid because everywhere he stopped only had the "Blue" stuff and we needed the "Orange".

After playing 20 questions we confirmed he was the idiot we all thought him to be. Walked him to the shop and had him read the labels on the 3 gallons sitting on the shelf. Turns out he had a partime job at an AutoZone in Texas prior to being transferred to Indiana and at that store they only carried Blue with no antifreeze and Orange with antifreeze.

So i got my 4d badlands about 3 months ago. up to now no one has driven it other than me. I came home from a BAD day at work and needed to run errends. my girlfriend said that she would do them for me if she could drive my truck (somthing shes been begging to do) i was so tired so i just threw her the keys, in disbalef she comes back and had the following conversation with me.

turns out, its anti freeze. she put ANTI FREEZE IN MY F&&&&&& WINDSHILD WIPER TANK. SO this leaves me wondering, how do i fix this? can i fix this or do i just kill her?

Good thing she is only your girlfriend and not your wife. Dump her and found another. I'm surprised she didn't tell you that she changed the blinker fluid as well

I am very very curious how she didn't know what antifreeze was used for. Kind of get how she could read antifreeze and think oh it stops things from freezing but idk I have known since I got a car at 17 that antifreeze was for the engine and wiper fluid was for the wipers.

The windshield washer fluid I use is green. It’s for dissolving bugs I could see mixing up the bottles.
