So just got my new bronco and we took off the rock rails and put on running boards. Little did I know at the time I could of bought steps that mounted to the rock rails. My mistake, anyways is there anything that I can put that would hide that area above the running boards? I just don’t like the unfinished look of it. Is there a type of rail that would bolt there with my running boards on?

Search "pinch seam" but honestly I think just taping it off and spray it black is the easiest, cheapest way. Most offerings are a cap that would just hold moisture and promote rust IMO.

Return the running boards, put the rock rails back on and find a running board that mounts to it. You won't be sorry. Seriously, return those and put your rails back on and get new steps/boards.

Awesome I will search that or look at painting it.

I have used the OEM trail armors through Ford and have been happy.

I just blacked out the pinch weld on the wife’s Bronco with spray bomb bed liner.
She wanted a vinyl wrap over it and bought a roll.
I didn’t think it would stand up to winter conditions with 6” of frozen slush hanging off it.
The contours of the spot welds and other irregularities made me think it might be tough to maintain good adhesion with the vinyl.

Several aftermarket companies make Pinch Weld Covers for the Bronco. I put some on the wife’s OBX for exactly the same reason. Possible they could trap moisture underneath but not much of a worry here in Phoenix.

I have been looking at those and think that is the route I will go. I live in a dry and also and it will not be going off road.
