How does Ford Motors have A+ rating from BBB with many complaints??

I just left my review. You never know what might motivate them to actually tell us what's going on. Tho' I'm pretty sadly cynical that anything will at this point.

Company A sells, let's say, ten thousand widgets every year. Out of that annual ten thousand widgets, perhaps a few dozen customers are unhappy, and complain.

Much smaller company B sells, perhaps a dozen widgets a year. Half a dozen customers are unhappy, and complain.

Company A gets a lot more complaints than company B. Which company should have a better rating?

We hear a lot about problems with Ford, but there are probably, by a few orders of magnitude, more customers who are entirely satisfied with their experience buying and owning Ford products than there are who have significant problems with them.

When you manufacture and sell as many vehicles as Ford does, not everyone is going to be satisfied.

Hi, understood, but have you been to a ford dealership service center lately?? In Florida the service departments are OVERWHELMED with cars in for service—-and quick lane aside(Oil change) Can’t get enough staff to fix them as fast as they come in. AND how about the people who believe BBB and Ford do little to NOTHING about the complaints, so why bother to waste the time writing them? Maybe the BBB complaints are a drip in the proverbial bucket of problems.

..There are complaints with all auto companies...and with most businesses...Any company who does millions or billions of dollars worth of business...will not make 100% of the customers happy..go to any company's web site and check out the reviews...not very many get a 100% positive..

In my opinion the BBB is an advocacy group for businesses not the consumer.
I know someone that had trouble with a contractor and the BBB was a complete and total waste of time for them.
