Ordered my Honda Accord, but like at least one other person, canceled that order when the dealer found the exact build/color/option combo and was able to get it in less than a week. Second was my 1998 New Beetle, first new model car bought sight unseen/undriven. That thing was incredibly fun and I was sad to give it up.

I have far less angst buying the Bronco this time though I may have to get pedal extensions (I could drive my old F150 fine but my ex's Explorer was just too much of a stretch for my short legs). Not worried. Anything can be modified.

This is my first made to order vehicle. I acted like a kid in the candy store when putting my order together.
I remember that feeling when I special ordered my first one. :)

My Bronco is the first brand new vehicle and first factory order.

The Bronco will be my second. First was a 03 Mustang Cobra. First year of the supercharged Cobra. LOL Voided the warranty after a month or so with a bigger Kenne Bell supercharger.

You can generally get a better price on a ordered vehicle plus you spec it out exactly like you want it.

My first was a 1978 Ford Fiesta. That one took 9 months to arrive. My Ford dealer gave me a car to drive until it arrived and we had agreed on a price. The price of the car went up while it was ordered and I drove his vehicle for 9 months, so the dealer took a bath on that one.
I've ordered practically every car I've owned and usually pay invoice (once $500 over invoice on the, then new, Ford Thunderbird - they were hard to find back then).

I got a day 1 or 2 of MY16 Mustang by ordering. Exactly what I wanted. I found a leftover '17 F-150 to lease 2 years later, turned it in for a used '12 escape to ride be over until the bronco arrives. I barely prefer ordering and getting exactly what you want.

1997 Ford Expedition back when I had a baby and toddler to haul around. The baby was driving it to college about 4 years back and it finally died. I donated the carcass to Catholic charities as I had gotten my moneys worth.
2006 Ford Fusion loved the car. Sold it to get a used F150.

The first was a 2016 Ford Explorer when the wife blew the motor in her 2008 Honda Pilot. In her defense it did had 180,000 miles on it. The Bronco is the second.
