I’ve done some research. This will increase ride height but have little other impact.Bump… is it worth it for ride quality on the street?
Appreciate the responseI’ve done some research. This will increase ride height but have little other impact.
I want to stiffen it up a bit on the road. I’m doing Bilstein 5100’s.
Absolutely. It’s way less wishy-washy. Definitely more planted and stiffer.Bump… is it worth it for ride quality on the street?
Yes it’s definitely worth it. The ride quality has improved dramatically, less brake dive, etc. I have 34s on there.Hi I’m looking to do the same thing with my base bronco 4 door. Is it worth it? Can do you notice/ feel the difference? And are those 33$ inch tires?
Add a rear sway bar and on-roadYes it’s definitely worth it. The ride quality has improved dramatically, less brake dive, etc. I have 34s on there.
Nice work. thinking to do something similar with my BD. Like you i have 32" stock steelies and looking to go 34-35 inch when these "retire". i want to get a SAS set of coil over takeoffs for that reason. My BD is a 2.7 auto trans 2 door, but i have already loaded a heavier fab fours bumper and a 9500 lb superwinch so i think that added about 120 lbs to the front end (without any noticable difference in height), but a set of takeoffs from a 4 door SAS BD might be the right thing to do. if you or anyone else has thoughts about that please let me know!Got connected with a guy at an offroad event who sold me his Sasquatch Coilovers off his Everglades (Todd, if you see this: thanks again!). It took 2 very mechanical people (me and my dad) only 3 hours to do all four. I know the Suspension Cookbook says Sasquatch are 1.10" above stock but I definitely gained more than that. I totally blanked on measuring, though. I suspect the coilovers are tuned different to account for the heavy duty winch on the front of the Everglades; thus, more lift. This is just a theory, though.
Either way, my Bronco handles exceptionally better on the road. Less wishy-washy land yacht and more planted and confident. Planning on throwing either 34s or 35s on but I honestly am not too concerned with how it looks right now. The handling difference is worlds apart and I couldn't be happier! Feel free to ask questions if you're looking to do the same.
what is the complete tire size for your 34's?Yes it’s definitely worth it. The ride quality has improved dramatically, less brake dive, etc. I have 34s on there.
