Illumination for transmission indicator?

Is there illumination for the gear indicator on the console? Mine isn’t illuminated, at night I have to look at the dash to see what I’m in.

No. The letters are just decals on a solid surface. No way to backlight it.

Just push the button the shifter to get it out of park, release it and slam it down and it will stop when it’s on D. My kids hold the button down and fumble it around into D

Yeah I was just curious, didn’t look like they would illuminate.

What's wrong with just looking at the instrument panel? It's easy enough to see there.

well it is if the steering wheel isn't tilted up. I mainly was curious as to if there was an issue with the illumination.
