Installed the Ford Procal tune, and I am both ecstatic, and pissed off.

I believe Garnet Ford in West Chester PA will install the tune. My local dealer won't do it but told me that a dealer in Rising Sun, MD is also a Ford Performance shop. I don't know the name of the dealer in Rising Sun but there isn't many, so you can probably just call around Either place is only about an hour from Lancaster.

I did not. Brought it to a Ford store I work with (I work in the car business), and they installed it for $100. Its not warrantied if you do it yourself.

Not true. This is directly from Ford's website under the product description.

Yep, I forgot about the Magnuson-Moss Act disclaimer that all auto manufacturers have to conform to. They can’t require factory only parts or service as a condition for warranty coverage, they have to allow equivalents. That’s why it has to be a certified technician.

Been thinking about getting it for my BL with 2.7. Did you "install" it yourself?
My local dealer wants 2 hours of labor to install this.

I have it on my 2022 BL SAS and love the changes. It only takes about 20 - 30 minutes to do the install. You dealer is ripping you off find a Ford certified tech to do the install.

It’s about documentation and warranty coverage but in light of recent user snafus with the tool and preservation of the stock tune I’m holding off anyway.

I might do this next year. Only have 1500 miles on my 2023 so want to break it in more but one thing I haven’t heard about and my question is does it have any ramifications on a extended warranty?
