Anyone have any recommended brands of Jack stands they’ve used? Horror stories? Torin? Pro lift? Google is of no use since everything you look up is just an article linking to Amazon sales for profit.

some may disagree, but I use Pittsburg from harbor Freight. I think the 6 ton ones are big enough?

“cheap Chinese stuff will kill you, I only buy US made”

to each their own. Been using this stuff for 8 years, haven’t died yet.

I take it yours weren't included in all the Pittsburg jack stands from HF that were recalled?

Yeah I almost bought those last year and later on saw that recall, scary stuff. Big reason why I’m asking.
I remember the recall, they were on the smaller 3 ton ones. I had them before the bronco but they were not part of the recall.

I have a Daytona floor jack and several Daytona 3-ton jack stands from HF. They’ve worked well for me so far.

Yeah, it's good practice I think to never fully trust a stand regardless. If I am underneath the vehicle while it's fully on stands, I have some other means of protection to keep from being crushed in a rare accident.

3 and 6 tons were eventually recalled in two different recalls. A couple million total stands I believe.

Yeah, plan is 2 - 6 ton stands and the hydraulic Jack. Not sure what else I can do besides that.

If not in the way, I always put the wheels under the frame so there is something for it to fall on. Floor jack may not be supporting weight, but it is somewhere touching frame just in case.
