You are thinking of what's available for a LR4 if you remove the underbody rear tire.

Doubt there is any room underneath a Bronco for a "standard" larger tank but maybe a flexible marine fuel bladder could increase capacity but not approved for on road use.

But that's why they make Jerry Cans...and brackets to hold them

I doubt it will happen. The GEN1 and GEN2 raptor comes as a super-cab (26 gallon) and super-crew (36 gallon). Raptor guys always say the aftermarket will provide a bigger tank to increase the 26 gallon capacity and it has never happened in 12 years.

I am sure a race shop will install a fuel cell for you as soon as you sign and agree that any explosion when offloading is on you.

Any tank change or adds are about dead with the EPA and CARB requirements. Rotopax is about all there is.

there is PLENTY of room for auxilliary fuel tanks underneath a Bronco!!!!! I would love the option!!!

I just saw something somewhere for maybe a lexus or toyota auxilliary fuel tank that just dumped to and from the main. you didnt have to plumb into the actual fuel system. Im not exactly sure, but it looked cool.

Since I'm removing the rear seat anyway, I'm considering raising the floor in the back to make room for one. Might have the side effect of making more room for other stuff like suspension.

Plenty of other people effectively deleting the same space by adding slideouts.

if you look closely at your tank, it is inside the frame and in front of the diff .. so lots of protection. Sure, there is a room where the muffler sits BUT if you take a good hit from the rear then ca-boom!

Yep, if you shot the exhaust straight out the driver side you'd be left with enough room to double the 2 door's capacity. Stout skid plate required! That's where the 66-77 Bronco had it.

Titan responded to me with this when I asked the other day:

“Good morning Steven. Unfortunately with a gas powered truck it is very limited. The EPA/government has regulations which make it virtually impossible to do replacement or auxiliary tanks for gasoline. The gasoline tank is considered to be part of the EVAP system which is illegal to alter or tamper with in any way. What they do allow are transfer tanks between 10 and 15 gallons like our Trail Trekker tank that we designed for Jeeps and other popular off road vehicles. We have looked at the Bronco, it's carrier does not work with our tank but most of the Bronco aftermarket carriers do work with it.
