Leather seats and water / rain

Well I went to leave for work and my wife’s windows were down. It poured rain last night and this morning. They looked a little puffy. I’ll have a real world report for you all on how they do. She took pictures after she wiped them down you can see huge water spots. They were treated with a product from weather tech since I got a gift card for Christmas. At least the roof and rear windows and even rear door windows were up. I’ll get more info after work on feel and squishy ness.

Well it’s def soaked in. wife just ran some errands and said her backside was wet when she got out of the car. Part of my job is to report weather conditions we got .35” last night.

They will be fine, cows never come in out of the rain and they seem to handle getting wet alright.

but they are alive to replenish the skin. I’m interested to find out which parts of the seat are actually “leather”. Since it says leather trimmed. It’s more about getting the foam and carpet dry at this point so things don’t go moldy.

I’ll make it easy for ya, parts marked “L” are leather, parts marked “V” are vinyl. Sides and backs of the seats are all vinyl.

Thanks I would have thought just the thin strips were leather lol. So the parts that have the water stains and are all swollen

You run fans on the seats? I would try to run as many as you can just in case.

I’m at work and it’s still raining in and off but I asked my wife to put the fan in there. Air circulation is going to be a key factor.

Ive gotten caught out in the rain without the roof twice now. I try to drive fast, but it still gets wet.

I dry them later and I cant see any impact... but yeah, yours look quite puffy. Id have the doors open and let them air out with a fan for sure. hope they dry out ok.

Yes they were normal looking before the wetness lol. Neither of us even realized they were down we walked right by at 8pm when we got home. I’m just glad the roof was up so none of the center switches or hvac got very wet.
